Brilliant service from the girls, the food is really delicious and not overly greasy. The fish is super bubbly and crispy., if you haven’t already try their cod burger it’s delicious. They now box up the burgers so that it holds the shape much better, I drove for about 13 mins and had the food in the boot of my car, and the burgers still held their shape without toppling over etc
Very nicely set up premises and food was very nice. I only bought a Chicken gyro, I did think mmhm looks small, however was a decent size for the price paid amd quite filling. It seemed to me they have taken care of their quality of the food and the overall standard of the food and shop was very good, which is quite surprising nowadays. If only i live closer to the place I'd probably go more often. It was a cheeky snack before picking up someone from the train station. Please keep up the good work
Used to be good,went a few weeks ago, young girls serving are dim and useless, told me she didn't have enough change so gave me what she had and said it would have to do! It was only a few pence but she didn't even ask me if I had any other change. Should have told her I didn't have enough money but still want my chips. I ordered a large chips which were at best a medium so had to order another bag which were lukewarm, the fishcake was horrid, worst fishcake I've ever eaten. Won't bother going there again.
Ordered from here 2 mixed meat kebabs ! Collected and took home and unwrapped! No mixed meat at all just doner no salad or anything - rang up they said to come back next day and will sort it ? Go in and they was rude and tried to make me pay for them again and knock £2 of ! Joke of a chippy paid £24 for 2 mixed meat kebabs which didn’t get and sausage and chips !!! Rip of and rude owner ! Won’t be going here again!

It would have been an excellant review if it had not been for the large cod priced at £7.99 Turned out to be 70% batter, spoilt an otherwise good meal. The actual fillet of cod was small in comparison to the pricetag. .Food: 3/5

Great tasting fish and chips. Both Haddock and Cod are excellent. Large portion of chips can feed at least 3. Crispy batter on fish.
We are new to the area so we’re trying to find a takeaway that delivers to a good standard. We tried ‘ Horestons Finest Fish & Chips’ for the first time this evening. They really sold themselves on their website, claiming to be award winning and going the extra mile. I ordered a large chips at £3.99 and a mixed kebab in naan bread for £6.99. This is generally more than we are used to paying, but we genuinely don’t mind as long as the food quality and service is up to standard. I was told it would be delivered in 40 minutes. After 1 hour 5 minutes I decided to phone up to see what the delay was over such a small, simple order. I was told that it had left and should’ve been with me by now. 10 minutes later, so 1 hour 15 minutes after I placed the order, the delivery man arrived. He claimed that the postcode sent him, and I quote, “3 miles away”!! Now, I don’t believe that in the slightest. I work as a postman and that is not possible. I opened up the ‘large’ portion of chips and I was genuinely in shock. I have honestly had bigger ‘regular’ portions of chips, from almost every other chip shop I have been to. They were also only luke warm, so had to be warmed through in the microwave. The kebab meat was not even luke warm, it was cold. I didn’t want to risk heating that through though, so just ate it as it was. I am very disappointed. It is hard moving to a new area and not knowing which amenities and takeaways are good and which are bad. This one, from my experience, is bad. I won’t be rushing to use their service again.
£4 for a large chips which is a medium at best
