Enjoyed the live jam sining along with musicians Elizabeth and Victor the ownerFood: 5/5
Love this place! Defo a hidden gem we chanced upon while looking for a late night joint for supper. My friend and I are sold at how hospitable the owner is, the chill vibes and the yummy food we had. Will be returning soon!!
Heard great things about this place, so decided to pop down during valentine's day. Turns out the regular menu is not being served, and there is a valentines menu instead, but was limited to 2 choices only, steak or salmon. Upon ordering, we waited for 45 mins before the food was served. The steak was cooked perfectly, which is a plus, but the pepper sauce was not cooked long enough for the alcohol to evaporate. Honestly pretty disappointed after being hyped up for it. I might return on another day to try out the regular menu, but I think that'll be pretty unlikely.
Many many things wrong. Firstly, if my food is going to take an hour to come out, some warning would be good. When the food finally came out, my steak was roughly the size of a small fist, but seemed barely cooked just ⅓ of the way in - it still had that slightly rubbery texture of raw meat. The steak itself too was horribly bland. Worst of all, there was a BROKEN TOOTHPICK in the steak. Thankfully this was removed from the bill, at least. We ordered escargot and they were chewy and tasted funky. The cups stacked on the table were dirty with some food dried on it. Also, there's no need to snatch my phone away when trying to get the WiFi password. All in all a really bad experience and I'm never going back, and dissuading friends and family from going. The only redeeming factor was its free karaoke, and the mashed potato.
Kudos to Victor, Jaclyn and Beth for creating a fabulous space for great food, fantastic music and just great FUN! - where no one is a stranger! There is a certain Bohemian feel to the ambience at HooHa that brings out the hidden Diva in every shy Daisy, and the closet Elvis in every Uriah Heep. Perhaps it is because of the cosiness of the segregated rooms, 2 of which are equipped with karaoke dining to the live band karaoke room a first in SG and perhaps, the World! to which I have become addicted, and the sheer supportiveness and friendliness of both hosts and professional musicians Beth & Victor which has made this my favourite Go-To watering hole! GUYS PLEASE REMEMBER TO TIP THE MUSICIANS GENEROUSLY! This is akin to a "safe space" for all singers and musicians - no judgment, only love! As for the food offerings, I found the menu very fairly priced, with the kung fu laksa, a knock-out, the tenderloin steak - a truly generous and tender offering of the best of NZ beef, cooked to order perfection, and the lamb shank, a melt in the mouth experience cosseted by the warmth of a deliciously robust red wine sauce. The service is personal and as with every establishment, mistakes are human. And that is exactly what is charming about Hooha, that personal and human touch! Well done Victor Lee! Thank you for creating this lovely space for us! Keep my chair warm - I"ll be back very soon! May Hooha! live long and prosper!
Best Tenderloin Steak in town. Consistently perfect steak. Delicious. Value for money. We love it and come back regularly. Definitely worth a try. You won't be disappointed.
HooHa Cafe is back indeed and they’re located at #B1-06 and not #01-06. Great reviews for the steak, lamb shank, laksa and fresh and baked oysters.
This restaurant should be TOTALLY avoided for being greedy, irresponsible in repeatedly reaching Covid rules. We don’t need such restaurants in Singapore even if the food is decent.
A place with good steak, super Laksa, special Hoo-ha's beer for music lovers. Jam session with the owner and other musicians
Wholesome goodness of good food, drinks and entertainment. Great service and fantastic cosy ambience.
