It's a food court so 4 stars is fair. Not too many cleaning staff, as in most places, so during busy times you may have a messy table. Couldn't see any cleaning stations or tray tables. The food itself was nice but the katsu curry sauce tasted exactly like a regular curry sauce from a Chippy. So I wasn't impressed. Only 1 chicken dish. 'Pulled pork' is actually Jackfruit or Vegan. Not too many options to choose from however, you can make your own bowl. That's pretty cool. It's around £10 per bowl. Chicken was alright, I'd like to try the Salmon though. Worth a try. Vegetarian options: Few vegetarian or fish options. Kid-friendliness: It's a mall.
Nice fresh bowls! I got avocado and mango with half rice half brown rice great idea for a lighter meal. The food is really tasty and fresh however I felt this brand didn’t have as many Hawaiian flavours compared to other brands :
Delicious, nutritious, and fresh! Really enjoy the Pole bowls here. The portions are just right although I wouldn’t mind a tad more chicken Love the Teriyaki Chicken combo. Staff were friendly and service was very prompt.
Fresh and inviting poke bowls. We went just before they were closing but everything still looked great. The staff were happy to take us through the menu. The portion was of a reasonable and filling size. Would recommend for healthy lunches and dinners.
Had my first Poke! From @honipoke What is a poke you ask..A fresh Hawaiian sushi bowl made with marinated raw fish, rice and a variety of fresh ingredients and zingy sauces. . No meat so fully halal. Well, I say fully they have octopus, which some say it not halal, so I won't get into that. . I got a Honi Poke and it was really good. Tuna, salmon, Salty mango, Sunomono cucumber, Nori seaweed, Kimchi, Chive, Crispy onion, Chilli garlic sauce. Super fresh fish, loads of flavours and spicy, even the mango was a great touch, super soft melt in mouth mango! . Good for lunch and it closes at 9pm. The price if this bowl was just under £9.. I think that's a bit expensive, but the price is for the clear quality in ingredients. halalfoodguy.co.uk instagram - halalfoodguy
We had very good, fresh and spicy poke bowls! The staff could be a bit more friendly but everything was fine, we were served quickly and had a good time.Food: 4/5
Unfortunately this place has really gone downhill! I’ve been many times since my review below and it has been okay, although by far not as good as it used to be but today was definitely the worst experience so far the food made me sick. I paid extra for the avocado but it was off, tasting rotten! The cucumber does not taste as fresh and tangy as it used to which was one of the ingredients that really made this place better than others, I suppose another cost saving initiative. I also was given the wrong sauce. Not sure if it was the first bite of avocado or one of the pieces of salmonnot tasting quite right that caused me falling ill but I had nothing else since breakfast. Definitely not how I want to spend my Friday night! previous review: Living in Soho provides me with endless amazing food choices, yet I’m having their salmon poke bowl at least twice a week. Compared to other Poke places their ingredient portions are far more generous and their sauces as well as the cucumber superior in flavour. Disclaimer: I’ve added my own chilli sauce on top.
Right now this is good, but it could be great. We visited shortly after opening on a Saturday so I recognise that service/atmosphere and prep may have just been warming up. That said, the poke was fresh and tasty, and I love the selection of kombucha. Compared to other poke restaurants I didnt find the portions as generous as I'd like, and it wasnt easy to ask for customizations in the build your own. The staff were helpful and friendly and the service was quick. I'd recommend it, but for my next London poke I might try out somewhere else before returning here.
Healthy and fresh food. The vegetables were fresh and when pickled, very flavourful. Loved the seaweed too! The combination of fresh salmon and mango was very refreshing! Couple this with the soy sauce base rice made it just right. Overall, a wholesome and refreshing meal.
Used to be a good lunch option, however some of the staff really do under serve. With my last bowl being half empty. I did point this out, as the person ahead of me had a bowl that could hardly close, but they said they paid extra, but obviously they didn't as I saw what they paid. For nearly £9 for a lunch you would think it would be full. Probably won't go again anytime soon as this wasn't the first time. Better lunches at different poke in the area for £9, go there instead.
