Gorgeous setting. The exterior building and the decor inside is absolutely beautiful. There's lots of room for seating, for big groups or small, & it's a very comfortable atmosphere. Lots of dishes to choose from & an excellent team of staff replenishing the food, cleaning & making sure the guests are well taken care of. Vegetarian options: I'm vegan & managed to pile up two plates with different things. There are allergy lists with every food that have boxes filled in when an item such as egg or celery is present. Very helpful! I didn't need to ask anyone about what I could eat as it was all labeled clearly.
Good buffet choice and the food was tasty, well cooked and plentiful. Staff very attentive and on the ball, service was excellent. Extremely Covid aware providing masks on entry and even disposable gloves on the table and at the food counters. Ample parking and an easily accessible location. Good value for money. Would have been 5 stars if the restroom was as well maintained and clean as the restaurant.
Outstanding. We have never felt so satisfied from a chinese all you can eat in our entire 35/40 years of existence. Seems a bit much you think? Come and try the food and you'll see for yourself how gorgeous it is! So much choice and the place is very clean inside. Staff are very welcoming. They seem to clear tables quickly and with plenty of curtesy. We decided very last minute to come here for dinner and we were not disappointed. Price for adults on a weekday is 15.95 and 7.95 for children under 12 and under 150cm tall There isn't any free WiFi but you can pay by the hour if you wish with BT. The savoury section had dishes to suit any picky eater. Crispy chilli beef, chicken balls, sweet and sour chicken, salt and pepper squid, chilli prawns, egg fried rice, chow mein, special chow mein, chips, sauces, ribs, sushi, salads, thai fried rice, mushroom curry and so so much more!!! Desserts included various cakes, angel delight, ice cream, sweets, chocolate fountains, marshmallows, waffles and banana fritters and more! When you arrive you are seated at your table and asked for your drinks order. Then you are free to get your food. When you leave, you go to the bar and give them your table number to pay! Simple! We will be back again for sure!!! Delicious!
Very pleasant and welcoming, eat what you want. For children, wheelchairs, are welcomed. Beautiful scenery, can take a walk along the river. Food for vegetarians. Plenty variety.
Was staying at the De Vere and wanted a different evening meal. Loved the look of this place and the reviews were good. They were not wrong. We had the buffet and the food choices were great. All food was hot, service was brilliant would definitely recommend HongXin.

5 stars isn’t enough! Great food, friendliest staff ever and didn’t feel rushed at all like some buffets can make you feel. This is worth a visit. The staff were so lovely that when I was tidying up the table and any minor mess my children made, they were quick to run over to tell me please not to worry and that’s their job. I still continued to tidy as it’s polite to stack plates etc for your waiting staff but I couldn’t have wished for a better service!
Having had a great takeaway from here, I thought I would pop in for lunch. I was not disappointed. Plenty of choice dishes, all fresh and hot. Everything you would expect from a great Chinese buffet. A huge selection of sweet choices too. Service was friendly and efficient, and value for money was exceptional. Just under £10!! Highly recommended. **** Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome Parking: Huge car park Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair friendly, all on one level. Dietary restrictions: All dishes are clearly labelled with ingredients and encouraged to ask staff if you have any allergies.
Very nice venue. Buffet had a very good choice of dishes to suit all tastes I think. Can accommodate larger groups if booked ahead. Nice desserts. There is a bar. Plenty of parking and all on one floor. Staff very pleasant and cleared empty plates promptly.
