A very welcoming quality chinese with all front of house being locals during our meal. There was a great vibe with many locals both eating in and taking away. The food arrived quickly and was of good quality/ quantity. We struggled to find somewhere to eat with kerb appeal in Dumfries but this place pleasantly surprised us. Would revisit on my next visit anf would recommend.

I'm unlikely to go to this venue as a result of a news story Police have said a 22-year-old man has been arrested as part of a hate crime investigation in Dumfries. The inquiry began after racially-offensive comments were found scrawled on a napkin in a local Chinese restaurant. The discovery was made by a member of staff at the Hong Kong Star in the Friars Vennel. A report is being prepared for the procurator fiscal Im simply not going to go somewhere where they search for was to be offended .
