My go-to place for brunch and breakfast on the outskirts of Nottingham City Centre. Lovely location at The Forest park so plenty of parking or easy access to the tram. Perfect to have a bite to eat in a nice location, then nip into town. I've only eaten breakfast or light bites here but I've never been disappointed and now you can order online so there's no queues as in previous years. The cafe has recently expanded inside and outdoors, the outdoor area is covered and has heaters so you can stay outside even in colder weather. Very extensive menu with options for all dietary requirements and lots of delicious cakes and light bites to take away if you're in a hurry. Their picnic box looks fab too!
Went to check out their new extension and it's lovely and cosy. We had their brunch menu. Eggy Bread and Bacon £7.50 Smoked Salmon & scrambled egg £8.75 Service was very friendly and efficient. Will have to bring our dogs next time as they are a very doggy friendly place. Find this useful please give a like follow
Really wanted to like this place but I'm afraid my choice of food has put me off...although I might try again for cake & coffee. It took forever for the food to come out...my ciabatta was rock hard and so was the bacon & sausage which were both tiny. The egg was about the only thing that seemed cooked from scratch. I would have sent it back but we were on a tight schedule. My friend ordered the eggy bread with fruit, which looked nice & she did enjoy it but at almost £10 it seemed very pricy. The furnishings are very nice, well spaced out and it is spotlessly clean.
It has been on the second occasion where I have made payment for a said amount but then I'm charged 50p extra on top when I check my bank statement. Today I brought two slices of cake that came to £8 but like my previous experience my bank statement shows £8.50. It really puts you off coming back especially when I have two young children. It's not like what you're paying for is cheap so I don't really understand the need.
A coffee shop with English breakfast and nice coffee in the middle of a park, you can parking at it outside parking lot . Good view from the outside seating area. Good service and foods
Fabulously friendly and welcomed or dogs too. Amazing cakes and pancakes. Very nice coffee. The cooked breakfast and burger we're rather pricey for what they were but tasted good. The only real downfall was the service as the staff got very confused and failed to deliver everything. The customer service read excellent and I would go there again. Possibly mostly for cake! Incredible cake!
So spacious, my nephew loved it and so did I. The food was so tasty, a little bit pricey but worth it for a treat! The staff are really nice and helpful. Lots of board games and activities for little ones and for adults too! Their vegan cake was delicious, a real hit with my nephew! I recommended Homemade to my sister and they really enjoyed their lunch here too! Vegetarian options: Lovely vegan and veggie options! They have a vegan breakfast Kid-friendliness: Toddler seating area in the downstairs section of the café, lots of space for kids to play and activities too!
Cracking Cafe and Cakehouse by Forest Recreation Ground. They make a lovely grilled cheese sandwich which you can follow up with some delicious cake. Well worth popping in for a lunchtime treat.
Great place to sit down for a milkshake although very limited vegan options especially food. Has gluten free cakes!!!

The team are always so lovely and accommodating to our largish group Vegetarian options: They do vegan and veggie option Kid-friendliness: There are places for kids to sit and high chairs avaliable when asked for Wheelchair accessibility: Although they have doors to every room of the building, they do seem to use their accessible lift as a storage space. Dietary restrictions: They do gluten free options and have different milks available
