I had a very disappointing experience at the Garden Centre by Homebase inside The Range, Kings Heath.nnI asked a staff member about the price of an item. Instead of helping properly, he responded in a careless and dismissive manner. The tone felt rude and unprofessional. As a customer, I expect basic courtesy and respect when asking a simple question.nnCustomer service is just as important as the products being sold. I hope management takes this seriously and improves staff training to ensure customers are treated politely in the future.

We had a very disappointing experience with this shop. We bought a convection heater that, according to the manual and the salesperson, was supposed to heat an entire room. While the heater does turn on and gets hot, it does not heat the room at all. It switches off within 5–10 minutes and fails to serve its basic purpose.nWe returned to the shop within 2 days of purchase to request an exchange, especially since we were told at the time of purchase that returns or exchanges were possible within 14 days if the product was faulty. The staff refused, saying the heater was “working” just because it turned on, without addressing the actual issue—that it does not heat the room as advertised.nThe customer service was extremely poor. The manager did not even speak to us directly or acknowledge us. Instead, she whispered to another staff member and left, and we were simply told that they would not exchange the product because it would become “second hand.”nAfter multiple attempts to explain the issue calmly, we were left frustrated and upset. Eventually, we returned the heater to the shop and left without receiving a refund, just to be done with the situation.nVery unprofessional behavior, misleading product claims, and no respect for customers. I would not recommend this shop based on our experience.
Unsure about the negative comments on here as each time I’ve been here the staff have gone above and beyond in helping me! Aqsa in particular- individually bubble wrapped everything I purchased with care to prevent any breakage. On a second visit- Aqsa, Shariff, Skye & Sohail all helped me figure out how to put a large mirror into my car and put the seats down as I didn’t have a clue. Service is 10/10 and they’re all so friendly- give them allllll a pay rise thanks :
I have used The Range previously for online purchases and found the level of service to be second to none. However, when we decided to visit the King's Heath store, in order to view an item before purchasing, we found the staff to be indifferent to our needs and relectant to help. Although the app/website showed that they had 6 of the relevant items in stock, the item wasn't on display. We were told that the items were probably in the stock room but no one could be bothered to look for them for us. I then asked what would happen if we placed a click-&-collect order, would they honour that? To this we were told that it would probably be cancelled. I did exactly this and yes, the order was duely cancelled. To actually knowingly have the items in stock but have absolutely no intention of finding them, shows such a low level of customer service that I have never witnessed before. We later ordered the same items from the Oldbury branch which was completed immediately. Good for them, but I think the level of disorganisation and lack of service at King's Heath is letting The Range down in my opinion. Won't be going there again!
