Dan Smith and the team @Home of Leigh sold our house last year. We are very thankful to have had Dan as the senior agent leading the team on what was a less than straightforward transaction. Dan is clearly a hugely experienced and professional estate agent who did an outstanding job of supporting and advising us throughout. Whilst Dan clearly had the support of a great team behind him a special ‘mention in dispatches’ for Lucy whose skills as a drone pilot and videographer were outstanding it was Dan’s professionalism, pragmatism, experience, and never give up determination that saw us all through. If you live in the Southend catchment area, do notlook any further than Homes of Leigh to sell your house. We recently sold our family home in Westcliff. We initially put our house up for sale in summer with another well known Essex estate agent. The experience was awful! The agent cancelled viewings without us knowing, failed to attend viewings leaving us to conduct viewings by ourselves, and repeatedly asked us to drop the sale price of our house. We spoke to friends and family about our experience and many took the stereotypical view of "all estate agents are awful". How wrong we were!! We decided to choose another local estate agent so contacted Homes of Leigh. In stepped senior valuer Tom Lambert! Tom apologised for the negative experience we had with the other estate agent and got right to work. Through the failings of the previous agent, Tom immediately secured a buyer for our home with a welcome bonus of £10,000 more than the asking price. This was £25,000 more than the previous agent wanted us to reduce our property to. Tom regularly updated me on the progress of the sale and the process was genuinely effortless and personal. From the moment we chose Homes of Leigh, we knew we had made the right decision. From the simple weekly Friday updates, to quality assurance callbacks. All the staff we spoke to were absolutely outstanding. We cannot thank Tom enough for his hard work and diligence throughout the entire process. Tom made it absolutely effortless and promoted a brilliantly transparent relationship. I have several friends who are potentially looking at selling their property in 2024. Home have been the most helpful and supportive agents throughout the entirety of my sale. They kept me updated with feedback from viewings and advice on how to best market my property. Not only did they secure me the best buyer and price for my property they ensured the sale went as smoothly as possible. The sales progression team are incredible and were able to keep pushing to get the sale through & liaise with some rather rubbish solicitors to hold the chain together. I would recommend the Sales & Sales progression team here and will never sell through anyone else! In addition the Lettings team were amazing at managing my property when it was rented prior to selling. Kyran and Dan and the sales team did a great job getting and arranging viewings in a difficult market and selling my house within 4 weeks of it hitting the market. Tom was the first person I met on the Team, he is so friendly and made me feel completely at ease with what felt like a really daunting process. He took fantastic photos and did a really good job at marketing my property. He has always been quick to respond to my queries and provide reassurance, I explained to him I had a really tight deadline I needed to sell by and he really went above and beyond to make it happen. Kyran, was really friendly and approachable, he organised the viewings and always kept me updated with any feedback. Chloe on the sales progression team was amazing, she made sure to chase the solicitors and the buyer to really push to get our sale through as quickly as possible within our tight deadline. I’d definitely recommend them and I would go to them in the future when I’m next looking to buy a property. Thank you again!
Fantastic service from start to finish! Ami, Sue, Mags and Tom were the main people that we dealt with from the Leigh branch and all were extremely helpful throughout this process. They were always quick to respond to queries and easy to contact throughout. Ami in particular really helped us and went above and beyond! This was the first time that we had sold and bought and there were plenty of obstacles along the way, but Home really supported us and did everything that they could to get it across the finish line. We can't thank them enough and would certainly look to use Home again!
