Excellent service everytime. Polite & friendly staff, here in Canton, Cardiff, although the manager could do with smiling a bit more ;) Used to be a lot of bargains to be had here. But nowadays their prices have shot up! You've got to be a savvy shopper to save your pennies these days. All in all it is very good. With many one off bargains at very low prices available on a first come first served basis. Very handy location & easy parking available front & rear. Should open on a Sunday.

Used to be able to get amazing bargains on nearly every product at HomeBargz but not anymore. Now you have to be careful what you buy because the price is more often than not going to be cheaper in one of the other Britain wide supermarkets. Because their prices used to be exceptionally low we've all gotten used to thinking that they still are ~ when infact they're not! I've shopped in my local HomeBargz for yonks. But since they revamped their image. Prices have gradually been on the increase!!! Don't get me wrong, there's still many bargains to be had there but no more than any other supermarket nowadays, apart from the cheap & nasty products like the tool section for instance! Personally, I'd prefer to spend a couple of pounds more & buy a tool that will last a lifetime instead of a couple of uses, if you're lucky. I've watched my weekly shop for pet products creep up in price over the last 5 years. What used to cost a few quid(less than £5 per week)...now costs around £12 Become a savvy shopper & you'll do ok. Assume nothing is my opinion.

Great for small grocery/household/garden shopping. Constantly expanding product lines and becoming more like a supermarket!! Very highly recommended.

It's a great place to buy the basics at knockdown prices but the staff in this branch are rude, ignorant and lazy. Whenever I go in, staff can be heard discussing how badly they need a break or who is going out with whom, what happened when they were off their face at the weekend or what time their shift is over - usually while they are serving customers at the till. The other day I asked for a price on something and was rudely told I would have to ask someone else as she (the shop assistant) had only just put the items out and had no idea!! If you know what you want and can stick the poor customer service; it's great but expect to find everything yourself and don't expect staff to be able to answer product-specific questions.

Home bargains radio is always going on about 5 star service but I've never seen it in any home bargains. Why is it that they only call extra staff to the tills when the queues have gone massive. Good prices though.
