Lovely museum run by the best team. Brilliant, knowledgeable staff who bring the place to life with a smile. Don't be put off by the small size as it is packed with a wealth of exhibits, all with a local link. You are guaranteed to know more about Holyhead, it's history and it's wartime heroes. Special mention for the cafe too. Fabulous service and very welcoming.
The return walk to the Lighthouse was challenging at times yet exhilarating! Interesting commentary from staff and views were awesome! No puffins today.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
Visited this hidden gem with the charity that I volunteer for. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Staff were very friendly and approachable and boy did they know there subjects. The exhibits are beautifully exhibited in large cabinets and most exhibits have a local connection to the sea faring town of Holyhead. This museum is a great credit to the town and local community. I will encourage friends and family to visit in the future. Ten out of ten to all concerned for the hard work you put in. Very well done.

Lots of information and useful facts. My 4 year old enjoyed herself. We did the quiz and won a medal for top marks. Made it even more fun. It might be small but definitely worth a visit. Thank you :Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo

The small museum could be easily passed up by the ignorant, but within these modest walls is housed a 2 hour visit through hundreds of artifacts, with every guide able to bring to life the story and journey of the mariner trade. Go once, and learn enough to last your lifetime.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
Super place...lots of historic Naval, Army and seafaring artifacts on display...which have generated a particular atmosphere within the old lifeboat station.
