Food was lovely we had brisket burnt ends , a burger and Mac and cheese the portions are big tho so half of it came home with us atmosphere was great they have a bowling alley and pool table and immaculate music playlist would recommend. Make sure you bring ID !Food: 5/5
The downstairs Holy smoke restaurant is no longer open, but the menu is available upstairs. Lovely food and area. They had just opened when we arrived so was very quiet. The outside area to eat was spacious.Food: 4/5
Ordered a vegan burger through deliveroo. Accidentally received a meat dish. Rang the restaurant and was speaking to a lady manager I think who instantly apologised, ran to the kitchen and sorted out a new burger. Was delivered in minutes with an extra portion of chips and an extra coke. The kitchen staff wrote an apology on the burger box and the manager left a note in the bag apologising. 100% some of the best service I've ever seen. Burger and chips were phenomenal so Holy Smoke will be my new go to and recommendation to everyone. I'd you want amazing food alongside amazing service, this is the place to go!
Ate food from here last Friday 12th May with 5 others for a meal prior to bowling in the Mardyke. The food took over an hour to arrive and when it did, it was missing items. My partner ordered chicken bites which was never recorded she went through the order with the server after and one of our party ordered a burger which came when we were all finished eating. The food itself was incredibly disappointing. I used to order the burger from here a few years ago when it opened first quite regularly but it's fallen off of a cliff. One thicker patty which is always over smoked the irony and has no flavour other than pure burn. The naked bites were bland and the sweet and sour sauce with them was watery and non-complimenting. The chips, cheese and garlic is delicious and the best dish any of us had that night but the rest was completely average which was a shock considering how highly this place was considered at one time.
They offer fresh Irish meat beef, pork, free range chicken which are char-grilled, pit-smoked low n slow, or bbq ed. We ordered pork baby back ribs which has a delicious mouthwatering wet rub, meat are all tender. Rib eye steak was char grilled over fire which has a legit smoky flavor. Serving sizes are huge. Ambiance is cozy, crowds are usually in group of young people. Staff are friendly and attentive. The prices are reasonable, might spend roughly €25-30 for main + dessert + pint. However, parking is limited within the street. Reservations might be needed during the weekends. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
Surely the best BBQ restaurant in Cork. The brisket is magical. The restaurant is a must go. It is famous for the best pulled pork you can have and it is. Remember to book tho, as you want to reserve your table. It has also a good variety of gf dishes. You will surely. Come back!
Quite a disappointing experience based on too high expectations. The ribs were tasteless, so were the chicken pieces. Sliders with pulled pork okay, some small sausages as a starter were actually not bad. Ambiente a bit boring and too dark, but the staff is attentive. Bowling and pool upstairs but no parking close by.
Amazing burger, really filling! Good service. The staff were nice and friendly. The only thing I didn’t like is that they only serve craft beer. Higly recommended. Looking forward to returning:
The food here is amazing... everything was really well cooked and tasted wonderful, I'd happily work my way through the menu over the course of several months. The service on my visit though was frankly appalling, slow and slightly shambolic. I was brought the wrong drink, sauces were taken away when we'd requested them to be left and they then charged us for more later and menu items were substituted without telling us. Service alone would be two stars, the really good food would be five and will get me coming back if I come to Cork again.
Tastes good. Price was fair. Service staff was very friendly and made the dinner enjoyable. Would have given them 5 stars if not for the dirty bathrooms.
