Just back from another visit to Hollywood Nails and again it was a lovely experience. Staff are friendly and excellent at doing their jobs, customers chatting and laughing amongst themselves, its a real social event. It will certainly make you smile! Nails are beautiful as always, not brave enough to sample eyebrow waxing or pedicure spa yet but everyone I know that has, has been really pleased with their treatments. Thanks again, keep up the great work!
I have visited Hollywood nails for well over 10+ years . In all my time being a customer at the shop Janet has always ensured what I ask for I get . Janet is great at what she does , she’s always polite and friendly. She offers you choice of designs and gives you feedback on what you choose as she knows what she is doing. If you decide on something and then change your mind she’s always happy to change it for you regardless. The shop is well equipped and has a variety of well stocked colours for everyone to choose from. Noted the shop can be busy at times however, I take this as a positive as this shows that Janet and her team have a good reputation within the community of doing a great job. I have previously tried other nail shops and there just not for me. I’ll continue to come to Janet as and when I need and wouldn’t go anywhere else. I love going to get my nails done. Janet and Liam make you most welcome. My nails today were done by Liam and the colours chosen were for my daughters wedding vows renewal in St Ives on 8th Sept Everyone there having their nails done were excited in choosing the colours and designs. I won't ever go to anyone else. Lovely friendly, first class service Beautiful nail colours and designs. I love the colours I chose today. Thank you.
Such a change from the average nail bar. Peaceful, no music or videos, customers are obviously very happy with the end results. Great customer service. Staff all have certified barbicide training .But importantly, the shop is properly ventilated. Front and back doors fully open. Helps keep space healthy for staff and customers and keeps the smells away.
First time at Hollywood Nail Bar and it was exceptional! The owner Janet did my nails and was so professional and friendly. She asked me about the occasion I needed my nails done for and a picture of what I wanted done and she went to work! She listened to all my comments about minor changes I wanted done while she worked and the end result is so beautiful! I can’t stop staring at my nails! She even gave me an emery board and buffer like the one she used on my nails and a loyalty card. Such a thoughtful little gift! Absolutely gorgeous work! Will definitely be back!
I’ve been having my nails done at Hollywood nails for over three years. Janet; liam and Mui have always been polite; accommodating and nothing short of professional towards my daughter and I and anyone else for that matter who comes in for pampering. The way these professionals operate is in a conveyor type manner - thus is done to not only speed up the waiting time but also processing time of what each person is having done. Such as: if someone is having their nails soaked off then they will get seen to first for obvious reasons as apposed to someone having a new set of nails. With bookings also taking priority. This is a well oiled and well thought out process. I have never ever waited longer than 10 min and that’s during peak busy times. Being a family run business with both parents working full time in the same shop, especially during weekends and school holidays, it is a given to often see the happy smiling faces of little Ethan and Edward, who like other kids their age, cannot be expected to sit still for longer than what some might feel is an appropriate length of time, this also includes kids that are sitting waiting for their parents to get their nails done. No request is too big or too small and like any busy, fast flowing business not everyone has the same likes which makes it very difficult for any of these nail techs to be able to recommend designs; colours or anything in-between - what one person likes is not always what the next person will like. In closing, I would highly recommend any one of these professionals and I trust them explicitly in doing my nails. As far as pedicures go, Mui has the hands of a saint. She is so strong and gives the best foot massage. A perfectionist in ever sense of the word - I would highly recommend a spa pedicure if you’ve not already had one. Very well priced and worth every single penny and more!!!
My nails turned out ok but the experience I had here was horrible. It was the first time I was getting my nails done after 3 years. I have been dealing with severe health problems and so this was the first time I felt able to get out to do this. Because it had been so long, I wasn’t quite sure how it all worked and exactly what I wanted - I went in with a picture and thought we could work towards that. Firstly, I told the first woman I didn’t want any shaping as I had already done this myself and she kept continuing until one of my nails was so much shorter than my others. When I said I could do it she just left and started on another person. I waited 20 minutes for someone to come back to me. The second woman was called Chenny? - she was good at the nails but extremely unfriendly, impatient and hostile. I asked for her opinion a few times and she would just say “I don’t know” - it would be very easy for her to give some suggestions given she has been a nail tech for 10 years. When she painted the flower I wasn’t quite sure about the size and said maybe we can do it a bit smaller - she proceeded to get up in a huff and puff and started on a new customer just leaving me without any explanation. I felt so stressed and upset by this point that I just said it’s fine you can just finish it like this this. I have left with unfinished nails because I just wanted to leave after being treated so badly. Previous nail techs I’ve had would work together with me to choose colours, designs, give their advice and wouldn’t get so angry if I asked for a modification. In my own job, if a client asked for edits in reports and I got angry about it - I would just lose my job. I was very polite, friendly and sweet about all my requests - it’s not the end of the world for a nail tech to redo a flower - it’s their job, it’s what they’re good at and they should want to make sure each client goes home as happy as possible. Instead of being snappy, leaving the customer each time they suggest or ask for something. My total time there ended up being 1.5 hour instead of 45 mins because they kept leaving me and moving to a different customer. I understand it was busy but it was also unfair on me as someone who had booked in in advance. Then, halfway through there were screaming children and the environment became extremely overstimulating. Completely understand children need to be there when their parents are working at the nail salon but think at a place like this there should be better behaviour and some rules for them. Overall, if you know exactly what you want and are happy with anything I.e., you won’t speak up if it’s not quite what you wanted then I guess this place is fine. But if you really want to treat yourself, have friendly conversation, get pretty designs that may take more time - please take your custom elsewhere. I am so upset that I chose here for my first nail appointment in over three years. What should have been a happy day ended up being stressful. Please improve your customer service.

Had a full set of acrylics after waiting long time for having them done. The shop is very welcoming and the staff were really friendly. Showed them what I was after and they gave me exactly as I asked for. Great quality and would highly recommend.
