Set on a parade of very tourist driven arcades, an American themed diner, although largely a English cafe type fair which they do well and at a reasonable price. Big Breakfast at £5.50 was very good value, quality just OK and expected for the price. Kids meals at £4 with ice cream also excellent value but the hot dog and bun was dry and very run of the mill. Food came out in about 20mins which was pretty good considering the number of customers. Seat was covered in salt on arrival and taps not working in the toilets eventually closed as a result. Coffee latte was basically warm milk, very small and disappointing at £2.20. Total bill for 2 adults 2 children was £25 so if your looking for a good English style breakfast I would highly recommend and hence 4 stars but can’t help thinking with a bit more attention to detail this could drive a higher price.
Great place to eat,, based on an American Diner. Staff were very friendly and the portions of food were so big that we couldn't eat it all.
Lovely place to eat , plenty of space to sit inside and outside, great service from the staff and great food . Always come here for food when we visit hemsby. If your very hungry and have a big appetite go for the mega breakfast , you will be full for the whole day !!!
Busy place with a lot of seating both inside & outside, fast & friendly servers with very nice food
My family are not 'foodies' by any stretch of the imagination but we have never wasted this amount of food ever in our lives. Truly a dire experience from beginning to end. Specifically we are talking about the breakfasts as other food here might be better. In truth it's hard to imagine anything else being this bad. On arrival the queue to order was 10 minutes and Joanne behind the counter was the only high spot of this visit. My diet Coke was very flat, my son's 'fresh orange juice' was poured from an off brand, long life, made from concentrate carton and a perfectly simple cup of tea was £2.60! My son 12 said the OJ was "foul" even before I brought up my suspicions that it might be. Things then took a turn for the worse. My breakfast arrived, missing toast. My Mrs. didn't get the bacon she had ordered as an extra but my son's plate arrived with no bacon either and it was part of the meal. Another server then returned with one piece of bacon on a plate. She was then retasked with getting my son his bacon and then a third trip for my toast. Sweet enough servers but clearly not supported by a well functioning kitchen. That said, the ketchup we asked for never appeared at all. Toast arrived and then the true depths of this experience were revealed. First the highpoints, bacon was good, beans were good, fried potatoes ok but a bit undercooked, this concludes anything positive I could say. The sausages were like my Nan described during the war 'shaped like sausages but without the meat'. These were clearly the cheapest sausages money could buy; meally, dry, flavourless and with a thick tough skin. If you can imagine a mouthful of a meat product so bland as to be completely overwhelmed by flavour from a little baked bean juice on your fork from a previous mouthful then you are ready to enjoy this sausage. The scrambled egg was worse. Mounded high, a pile of dry flavourless rubber so vile as to be difficult to swallow. Utterly devoid of taste we could only conclude they were watery powdered eggs blasted into submission by some industrial microwave. Sure, a treat in 1944 but 2021? Not so much. The tomatoes were plum tomatoes straight from the can, they weren't even dignified with a taste at this point. My Mrs described the one mushroom she took a risk on as "What I imagine eating a slug must be like", she went on to elaborate that it was rubbery on the outside and bland and slimy inside. My son's pancakes were fine, a little thick and a little cold but compared to the slop we were faced with we looked at them with envy. Sad and hungry, I picked up my limp slice of warm bread that some accept as that almost impossible to ruin food called 'toast'. A large mouthful was defined by the taste of slightly rancid cheap margarine. Well played Hollywood Diner, well played. When you can ruin toast the only remaining skill left to master is figuring out a way to burn water. Despite no appetite, feeling almost dirty and slightly revolted by the food, I had to get a little snack to make sure the absence of any flavour wasn't a sign I had caught COVID. I wasn't, it was just that bad. All that for only £24.70. I have given 2 stars because 1 star reviews tend to be angry people overreacting and because not everything on my plate was inedible. That said, don't eat here please, there's a good place 100 yards away.
Right came in on Friday with family my dad took really ill on arrival. The lady Sam was a lovely lady and helped every way possible with getting him a seat and bottled water. Wouldn't take any cash or anything. Luckily my dad's fine. So came in Saturday morning and had double burger with bacon. Family had breakfast everything was spot on great food Fantastic service definitely be back soon. Once again thanks so much for helping me out with my dad. I'll never forget that.
