Wonderful pub with rooms. The owners are excellent hosts and made the stay so comfortable. Easy to find and great off street parking. Extremely large, warm and comfortable rooms.nnThe pub itself is very welcoming with a great range of local ales and good wholesome pub food.nnPerfect location with views of Richmond castle and minutes from the A1M which made it perfect for a layover.
Wow! We have just had one of the best Christmas Dinners ever! We took advantage of the takeaway Christmas Dinner offered by Joanne and her team and I had to admit I was a bit worried - would the food be ok, would there be enough? We ordered eight meals and kept our fingers crossed…….nWell, the food was absolutely fantastic, vegetables perfectly cooked and the meat so tender and delicious, plus there was more than enough to go round with some leftovers for fry up and sandwiches too!nThank you for making my Christmas stress free ! Please put my name on the list for next year!!!!
We found this gem on the way to Richmond just wanting a beer and some dinner. Really nice clean pub with accommodation, beer garden and pool room. 2 pints for £9.20 and meals around £14. Sweets £ 4.95 . Staff friendly and helpful. Dog friendly. All in all a nice place we will return to when we are in the area again. see website for photos. Had a meal here with my partner we tried one of the specials which was a steak and ale pie for me and a chicken pie for my partner, I really enjoyed the steak and ale pie which was all local produce and delicious, my partner loved her chicken pie as well. On talking to one of the other guests they recommended the Sunday dinners here so we will be trying them soon.
