Great Lake Great walk Great halfway cafe, nice tea latte & cake. Loads of ice creams a slush ice drinks as well. Went round other way and saw different view points. There's a great pub near as well does good food.
Great place to visit for a couple of hours out even in winter. In summer I expect you could do a full day. Plenty to see and a good size walk round the lake, with a playground for kids. About halfway round is a cafe selling snacks, ice cream and drinks with plenty of tables and benches outside. Also plenty of space to take a picnic.nnCar parking available at the Beach pub, off the main road or at the country park a bit further round. I’d recommend going earlier rather than later as it can get very busy.nnPlenty of places to eat along the main road. I’d recommend Mr Thomas’ fish and chips!
A GREAT PLACE TO GO FOR A WALK ROUND THE LAKE WITH PLENTY TO SEE..CAFÉS PUB WILDLIFE BIRD WATCHING BIKE ROUND THE LAKE...FISH AND CHIPS BUT MAKE SURE YOU GET A PARKING TICKET ON CAR PARK AS ATTENDANTS DO SEEM TO BE KEEN ! Please see my LAKE map for activities.
Really gorgeous day walking around the lake, still a lot of ice on the water but still nice and warm with the full sun.
Such a lovely little walk, only takes about half an hour, there’s plenty of parking and absolutely loads of cafes. We really enjoyed it.
