Hollands Wood Caravan & Camping Site
"The ideal spot for you and your family to get lost in nature’s playground. With the natural features of the land still in place, pitches weave through the tree lines, amongst the ferns and into slightly more open land, giving plenty of camping options and places to explore. Here you really get the best of both worlds – a friendly campsite in lush forest with the benefit of onsite facilities and the lively village of Brockenhurst a short walk away."

Our third time staying here with our tent. Its a lovely site, free roaming animals, large pitches even when busy over the Bank Holiday. Good toilet blocks, only complaint would be to be cleaned more over the Bank Holiday weekend but the rest of our stay beforehand was fine. Lots of bins and water points dotted around. Easy access to shops pubs and walking or cycling In the forest. Staff always helpful. Some charging lockers in the laundry room were great to use when we could use them. Some people were keeping them padlocked even with nothing in just so they guaranteed using one so some days we had to go without, so maybe an idea to have some more at each toilet block. The washing machines and tumble dryers are great and fit lots in but you have to use an app on your phone so while I added the laundry in my partner had to walk to the field to get signal and then come back otherwise it didn't work, would much prefer cash or card payment on the machine. Good washing up facilities. I can't fault this site only a few improvements but would definitely come again.
Large campsite, which I'm sure is great when it isn't school holidays. It was mega busy when we went in August. On arrival we were treated to a 10 minute speech about their many rules, which made sense, but the campsite didn't ensure people stuck to them. It is VERY noisy at night despite the quiet after 10pm with people playing music, dogs barking etc after then. Nothing done about it. None of the pitches were marked out, so it was really a free for all on where you put your tent. We had just finished putting ours up when a staff member came round and told us we had to move it about 60cm away from the tent next door, but conveniently ignored two tents which were pretty much on top of each others across from us. It was super busy, so people were just setting up their tents anywhere that suited them, nothing is allocated, so if you come in a big group, good luck in being able to all camp together. The facilities are adequate, and there are 2 large toilet/shower blocks and one smaller. The one nearest us was closed for cleaning 2.00-4.00pm, which meant a 10 min walk to the next block as the site is so vast. They are mostly clean, but the toilets didn't flush too well. Like I said, I'm sure out of season it is nice, but don't go during the school holidays, find a smaller one in the forest, there are plenty.
Beautiful campsite literally in the Forrest with ponies, cows and other animals roaming freely. It’s very beautiful. The showers and toilets are good and there are washing up facilities, a laundry and a warm water dog washing station! The staff are lovely and very helpful. I would recommend.
Great campsite with no electricity for tents, perfect for an unplugged weekend away. Local to Lymmington, Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst for any groceries and activities to do. Good pitch rules, clean and plentiful toilets. Good showers with hot water and hair driers. Informative staff and lots of spaces available with a rule of 6 feet between pitches enforced to ensure privacy. They lock the gates at 10pm but parking outside if you are late to return. Lovely campsite, will come back.
Perfect campsite in the heart of the new forest. You can pick your own spot, the ground is hard and stoney but fairly flat. The showers and toilets are clean and there is even a charging station for electronics but bring a padlock if you want to safeguard your phone while it is charging. Take care not to leave any food around as the wild ponies will trample over anything in their way. All in all my very favourite site
Great campsite for our young family. Tents and caravans. Find your space amongst the woods. Wild ponies just sharing the area. Facilities are clean, warm water, chargeable lockers not many and take own lock, lovely views, close to the river where dogs and kids cam play. Really friendly staff. Ideal spot within the forest.
WARNING : BIKE THEIVES ACTIVE AT THIS CAMPSITE The first night we stayed, one of our bikes was stolen The lock had been cut. On reporting this to reception, we were one of many who had been hit that night. We also then found out that this is a common occurrence and has been happening for well over a year! Despite this, the campsite made zero effort to warn people that bike thieves are active in the area. You get a talk when checking in of all the rules etc, they can see we have bikes on our car, and yet no mention or heads up to take extra care to keep your bike safe. Signage around the campsite should also be in place. Very disappointed with the campsite for this reason. On arrival, you pick a place to pitch up, must be 6 meters away from others, no problem. Except as you are driving around, there are then very few places to set up, and found it difficult picking a reasonable spot. Facilities are average as far as campsites go. The campsite grounds were nice, and there are lots of trails nearby, with the village within a short 15-20 minute walk. Overall, location was nice, but extremely unhappy with the lack of warnings that bike theft is a regular occurrence.
Great campsite with brilliant facilities and lovely staff. Special mention to Harry who helped us with an issue with our bike. Great location, 15 minute walk into Brockenhurst / 5 minute cycle. Well connected and lovely place. Highly recommend!Rooms: 5/5
Nice campsite that’s easy to access. Staff are great, friendly and helpful. Facilities are good, clean and well maintained. There’s a handy dog wash too. A little road noise but it’s a beautiful location in a beautiful part of the New Forest.Service: 5/5
Truly amazing! Last time I was here was 20 years ago. I came every summer since I was 3 Months old. So cheap!!! It's a beautiful site, love the animals coming through. The toilet block is very good. Only thing is the washing machines. At the time of writing they aren't working. The dryers are. But the staff were so helpful and helped me out BIG time! The staff were so lovely and happy to help all the time. The kids loved the open spaces and the gorgeous countryside. It's very safe for kids. I'm definitely coming back! For more than 2 nights! They should allow u to rent bikes from there or deliver rent a bikes there cos that would help alot!
