My daughter and I stayed here for her birthday and used the hotel as a base for activities that we had planned. We had a room with a sofa bed and although it does reduce the size of the room when it's set up, for our stay it wasn't an issue. The room was very clean and during our 2 night stay the room was cleaned and tea and coffee topped up. I slightly agree with other reviews that the breakfast could have been hotter but the food that was there there was plenty of. The location for us was perfect as were were making a visit to Whitechapel and found this was easily in walking distance. We also made a trip to Camden market which was easily done by a quick train and a tube.nnDuring our stay every person working in the hotel were friendly and welcoming and would always say a quick hello and ask how our day had been. I would like to give a shout out to Katrina, Murad, Kamile and Azeez as they all went above and beyond to ensure that my daughter's 30th birthday was the special occasion that I wanted, each and every one of them is a real asset to this hotel. Both my daughter and I agree that we would definitely stay here again.
Negatives first. Check in took far too long, poorly staffed. No one serving at the bar so gave up trying to get a drink. No soap in either hand soap dispenser or shower dispenser.nPositives though : plentiful breakfast, excellent choice and very quiet, could get what you wanted no problem. Location excellent for train station, we got to and from the O2 with no problems. Rooms clean and comfortable. Would we stay again? Yes, I think so.
Very friendly and dedicated staff! Tasty food at the bar and wonderful breakfast, that is included in the price. 5-minute walking distance to DLR station Limehouse. Close surroundings not very attractive but all in all a great hotel for a London trip.
We had a really good experience. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-appointed with all the amenities needed for a pleasant stay. We especially commend Hassan, who provided exceptional service during breakfast. His warm hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine care for guests made our mornings truly special. Hassan was always ready with a smile, ensured we had everything we needed, and went above and beyond to make our dining experience memorable. The staffs at the reception were also very friendly and helpful.
126nnStandard Holiday Inn Express, but a good one. Close to Limehouse Station for DLR and C2C trains and a short walk from Shadwell if you need to catch the Overground instead. Plenty places to eat and drink nearby and Stepney beach a stone's throw away if you want to get up close and personal with the Thames!nnReception, restaurant and bar are all clean and tidy. Complimentary breakfast for all guests I believe mine was which was a basic cooked or continental buffet. Little chaotic, but perfectly fine as a throw in. Didn't try the bar or have an evening meal, but looked fine.nnMy room 126, an internal room, bonus of little noise at the cost of no window! was modern, clean and in good condition. Working AC, nice bathroom with tea/coffee kit, iron and ironing board and hairdryer. No safe in my room, not sure if they are an option in other rooms. Bed comfy and plenty of power outlets, including USB B and C outlets on both side of the bed as well as sockets - something that other budget hotels can lack, but is very handy. Reasonable amount of room, one chair and a small desk. Not somewhere to set up for a week long luxury getaway, but that's not the aim of the place - it's a comfy base to sleep in while you're in London. Not a part of town I generally stay, but ended up here due to a critical mass of events on making my usual haunts more expensive, but 2as pleasantly surprised, especially for the money.nnFinally shout out to the staff - everyone I met was friendly and helpful, even smiling! This is a rarity for hospitality these days, especially in busy cities, but really pushed the place to another tier.
