An ideal place to stay even for families like ours. The rooms were very clean although just a little small not much of a problem though. They had all the required amenities. Breakfast was great with a number of different options however they did serve the same buffet everyday but the food was great The reception is very helpful and cooperative. It's located about 15 mins by bus or car from the old Town of Edinburgh but it's well connected with the bus stop and taxi service etc. Would definitely recommend !!
I managed to find myself a really good deal on some specific days of 4 nights and two adults for just under £300, breakfast included. Considering the location and easy access to the centre of Edinburgh this was more than ideal. The service was also very good, everyone was really lovely. I particularly appreciated my chat with Lee at the front desk when we first checked in. The room was lovely and clean, with quite a nice view too. All in all, can’t complain!
The location is very convenient with an amazing view on the city. It’s only 20 min walk to the center and 2min from the bus which takes you to the city. The staff is extremely friendly, professional and welcoming. Cleaning is a 10 and know I’m extremely picky when it comes to cleaning. The breakfast offer a variety of choice and food is fresh and well served. The menu they offer for lunch and diner is very diverse as well. I had a tomato soup and curry and it was delicious, would highly recommend eating there at night after a long day of sightseeing. The hotel is a 10 in my opinion and would definitely come back and recommend to everyone. Well done to the stuff!
A bit dated but fine for a short break or work trip. Great location for a short stay, an easy bus ride to the city centre, with a stop right outside. Big supermarket nearby too. Check in and out was easy. Minor issues with the room include a broken safety latch and a sticky door that didn't want to close. I'd say the police have busted through the door and stressed the hinges... Anyway... Breakfast was fine and abundant, setting you up for a big day. The included wifi was reasonably fast. Overall a perfectly fine mid budget hotel.
Very comfy beds, excellent service from the staff. The breakfast is brilliant. The restaurant though is quite expensive for what you get £18 for a very small chicken tortilla, cup full of chips and x2 small slices of garlic bread. Hotel and rooms are spotlessly clean. 5Rooms: 5/5
Location right In front of a bus stop which is very convenient to get to Centre. The place was very clean, staff friendly and helpful, and the room was quite spacious with an iron board and dryer too. Would definitely stay again! The bathroom was a little small but not that it bothers much. A few plugs next to the bed were not working but used others, not a major issue. Breakfast included was sufficient but nothing to write home about.
The reception handling our check in on November 13 midday was excellent apologies missed his name, perhaps Brett, his kind hospitality made our stay enjoyable. He tried his best getting early check in for us and kindly cancelled our spare room, his understanding of the change of plan was greatly appreciated. Free breakfast daily was amazing and perfect for family. We will definitely stay again when we visit Edinburgh next time.
The hotel is located within walking distance to several bus stops, which is very convenient. The breakfast is good, different vegan and gluten free options are available on request. The rooms are very clean too. The only problem we encountered were the incredibly drafty windows, the room always felt a little cold despite the heating being on.
Everyone who worked here was extremely kind, helpful, and hospitable. The hotel was also clean, but our room had an intoxicating smell of rotten onions . It seemed to be concentrated near the door and was sooooo uncomfortable to be around! If not for that, it could have been a nice accomodation.
There's a little card in the rooms that says they want to get 10/10 and to speak to staff if they can do anything to achieve this during the stay... unfortunately I don't think they could do a miraculous refurb in a day. The standard wasn't horrible but definitely feels a little tired and dated, rooms need a paint, bathrooms a little tatty toilet doesn't flush easily and water pressure is low in general, rusting bath plug and just a little dull really, draft coming in from closed windows isn't nice for the person in the single bed right up next to it. Just a really odd layout. "Faulty Towers" style staff, with an American guy "the boss" he proclaimed to some customers when giving free drinks wearing multiple personalities, accents and some questionable humour depending on who he was talking to. Food menu is limited but portions aren't too bad, breakfast included is a nice touch but a fairly basic selection provided For people who don't want to drive into/around the city though this hotel is pretty nicely located with easily access buses to/from the centre Also one of the night staff didn't get name handled fire alarm chaos very well... ensuring guests had disposable blankets to keep warm, especially women and children and managing to maintain a calmness
