Stayed for a couple nights whilst on a short family trip. Expected it to be like a Premier Inn or a Travelodge but was pleasantly surprised to find it was so much better. Good sized rooms and bed, the latter was extremely comfortable. Bathroom was very clean and a great shower. The dinner and breakfast selection was excellent and the staff are very helpful for the most part, shout out to Sam he was incredibly helpful. The kids play room was great for my two year old to have fun in whilst waiting for dinner. Didn't get to try the gym or swimming pool but also looked really good. Would I stay again? Absolutely
We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Eastleigh and were thoroughly impressed. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the friendliest and most helpful staff. They were always willing to assist with any requests and made us feel truly welcome. The rooms were immaculate, and the king room with two single beds was a fantastic choice for our family. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the room was well-appointed with everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious and offered a wide variety of options to suit all tastes. Whether you're looking for a hearty English breakfast or something lighter, there's something for everyone. I rarely give hotels 5 stars, but this truly deserves it. The combination of excellent staff, clean rooms, delicious breakfast, and great location made for a memorable stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area - especially for Paultons Park!
Nice clean generic hotel. There is a restaurant if you want food and a bar for drinks. However be aware these are both on the pricier side. You may get a better deal if you go out. £11 for a double JD and coke! The bed was big and comfy and the room was quiet considering there were a lot of family's staying with young children. There is a pool and leisure facilities as well as a children's play area but we didn't use these so I can't comment. It's a handy location if you are looking to stay near Southampton, just 25 min drive to the docks if you are getting on a cruise ship.... As we did!
Our second time here and it's been great as before. Very family friendly and some brilliant staff, especially Sam, Sarah and the rest of the dining team who were very helpful and attentive. Food is very good with decent portions. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Room rate is about average but you do have to pay to park outside. Rooms: Simple but clean and functional. Tv hairdryer, kettle with tea/coffee, safe, lots of plugs Safety: Seems very safe. Food & drinks: Restaurant with good selection for dinner and breakfast
UNHELPFUL AND LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE . We have been sent a parking charge notice despite we paid £5 for the parking at the reception desk, also wrote down my number plate on the check-in paper. They didn’t mention I have to register my vehicle after paying at the reception desk. When I call the hotel to sort it out, they said it’s not their responsibility. It means that you take my payment, but have no responsibilities to register my vehicle. So now, I have to also pay for the parking and penalty. I have been stayed at many hotel around the UK, I only need to give information and pay, then the reception register my vehicle. I never experienced anything like this before. VERY DISAPPOINTED
Tidy hotel and car park. Staff were nice and very helpful apart from the tall gent at the main reception not sure of his name arm full off bracelets i think Mark was his name, for some reason he had a chip on his shoulder, no need for it. Apart from that all the staff and hotel was well presentedRooms: 4/5
Really great Holiday Inn! Lovely staff who are helpful and welcoming. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious and very clean. The brunch rolls were lovely and well priced. All round, definitely worth staying.Rooms: 4/5
Unfortunately I have had to downgrade my review to 1 star. We have been sent a parking charge notice despite the fact there were no free bays in the car park to park in. The hotel staff told us we wouldn't be charged and could park for free in the adjacent car park. Firms that care about their customers shouldn't outsource parking to third parties who aggressively pursue those customers. I have appealed the charge. Just waiting for another charge to arrive for entering the car park the following morning to pick the family up. Booked a late check in. Disappointed to find car park was full when we arrived at 10pm. Reception suggested the free car park next door which is fine but was a bit of a pain as we decided to unload more luggage than we were hoping to for security reasons. Breakfast great. Kids eat free as well. Service good
Nice hotel, I've visited the hotel on several occasions, it is clean, and has a nice if slightly busy vibe. On this visit all staff I encountered were excellent, attentive, helpful and a credit to the Holiday inn. The only mark down is there is not enough parking. However if you park in Places leisure next door the parking is free.
We've stayed at a few holiday inn hotels over the years and this was similar to others in many respects. The reception area, communal areas, breakfast room, corridors, bedrooms etc are all immaculate. Everything is well cleaned and polished. I've deducted 2* for service because I felt the staff on arrival 7:30pm were aloof and somewhat snobby. Admittedly we probably didn't look like the kind of refined visitor they're used to. We had been camping for 10 days packed up a day early as heavy rain was due & splashed out on a hotel room, had our autistic son with us, my bank card was playing up as I tried to pay and then my phone went and it was a call I couldn't put on hold so I appreciate it was chaotic and we were probably not the kind of guest some people might want but if we pay our fee we should get the same service as anyone else. It costs you nothing to be friendly. We had booked a room for 3 as our son needs to be with us and the extra pull out bed was prepared but there were still only 2 cups in the room. I went downstairs and asked another member of reception if we could please get another cup and a few more sachets of milk and he seemed most put out. He handed me the milk and told me I could find crockery in the breakfast room but his attitude was not very friendly. I also had to ask him about the air conditioning as I could see it was touch screen but I hadn't noticed the on/off button on the top of the unit. Some instructions in the room would be helpful. He just made me feel stupid for asking as if it was obvious and I was a fool to not notice. So, that's the negatives and honestly I would have left two stars except that the room was comfortable, shower was great, breakfast was spot on and the morning staff were all brilliant. Morning receptionist smiled, was friendly and engaging and exactly the way reception should be with all guests. However I wouldn't stay at this hotel again after our experience. I don't think I've ever stayed somewhere that's made me feel less welcomed than the evening reception staff made me feel on our stay.
