Pleasant area with river running through it with direct paths running from Tolwoth to Ewell Village. Good for dog walking or just enjoying the country side. Stepping stones cross the river close to Ewell which is great fun for the kids.

A well visited green space full of wildlife that stretches for about two miles or so from Ewell Village to the borders of Tolworth. A walk along the river through the woods and along by the meadows on a sunny spring day is a pleasure. There is a compacted gravel path for walking and cycling which will keep your feet dry (unless it's been raining the day before). Keep an eye out for the cormorant in Ewell Court Park, the white egret by the playground, and grey wagtails, ducks and, on rare occassions, even a kingfisher further along the river in the wilder stretches. Students of history may enjoy pinpointing the former sites of gunpowder mills that were once common here. Millais painted 'Ophelia in the Water' downstream where the Hogsmill flows through Worcester Park.

NICE PLACE TO WALK BY THE RIVER. KIDS ENJOY FEEDING THE BIRDS AND SCOOTING. ALSO THE PARK IS GOOD AND THERE ARE FOOTBALL FIELDS, TENNIS COURTS AND A RUNNING TRACK

My children spent many hours playing around the stream and Ewell Court lake. You can cycle to Kingston or back to Ewell along the footpaths or grass. Have now moved out to Sussex but miss the offroad freedom of the area. (Not the traffic).
