I recently used the Historic Dockyard Car Park, and my experience was quite pleasant. The parking area is spacious and well-organized, making it easy to find a spot. It’s conveniently located near the main attractions, which made my visit to the dockyard stress-free. The signage was clear, convenience and proximity to the dockyard made it worthwhile. Overall, a good choice if you're visiting the area.
We’ve had several visits to the Dockyard but never explored Boathouse 4 as the big ships get all the attention. This time we joined an organised tour to see the work of restoring historic vessels. The volunteers brought the tour to life and explained that as well as repairing boats the Boathouse is also a skill training centre. Well worth a visit to see the skilled craft people restoring the wooden boats.
Good, secure car park. Fantastic helpful team of people there, day and night. Car park is locked after 8pm. We left our car with a kayak on top, the staff paid extra special attention to its security. They take pride in what they do and are genuinely helpful. We had peace of mind knowing everything was in good hands. We are planning to return and will definitely park here again. Thank you very much for your help, efficiency and kindness.
Bought the all attraction year ticket at the submarine museum a week earlier so came to see the mary rose this visit. Totally enjoyed our visit and what a massive change from how she was years ago.
