I don’t normally review car parks, but this one fully deserves five stars!! Amazing prices literally, great location right between the port and the city centre, clean toilets, top customer service, and loads of spaces.nnI lost my ticket today and went to the friendly office staff who quickly sorted it out! Instead of making me pay the full daily rate, he explained they have number plate scanners at the exit — the machine automatically works out what you owe. Super impressed!
Colourful parking spots, cheap ish, coincidentally its close to the historic dockyard.
Massive thank you to the security staff at Portsmouth Historic Car Park. They not only intervened and prevented the attempted theft of bikes from the back of my car overnight, but also showed me another area of the car park to move my car to the next morning, where they could keep a close eye on it more easily. So refreshing to see such professionalism on display. Very much appreciated.
We’ve had several visits to the Dockyard but never explored Boathouse 4 as the big ships get all the attention. This time we joined an organised tour to see the work of restoring historic vessels. The volunteers brought the tour to life and explained that as well as repairing boats the Boathouse is also a skill training centre. Well worth a visit to see the skilled craft people restoring the wooden boats.
Well worth a visit, even though HMS Victory is undergoing repairs
