Fantastic old theatre. Went to see panto so no long queues at the bar which had very good prices for a venue. Can't fault it beautiful theatre fantastic production seats had an original feel so were a little tight and short on leg room for anyone over 6'nnWould and will definitely go back!!! Stayed overnight at the Ibis Hotel which was a short 10 min walk to theatre.
Fantastic venue. Staff are always so friendly and welcoming. Well organised. So many different shows offered and great range of musicals and ballets. Beautiful architecture. The leg room is very small if you go balcony seats but is better in stalls, upper and dress circle. There are clean toilets available on ground floor and up in the seats upstairs but there are not very many is my only criticism. There are accessible seating options in stalls and would reccomend an aisle seat. Ive been going for years and just love it! The restaurant is really good! Big portion sizes and good value for money. Great choices! Id reccomend booking for the restaurant! 5 stars.
We went to watch the six musical. My daughter loved it! The theater is massive! Pick your seat wisely..we had the seats at the top at the back I didn't expect it to be so high..I got a bit anxious about it but it was fine. The seats are a bit dated and needing a bit of a refresh but all in all was a good theater and show.
DO NOT BOOK THE BALCONY!!!!!!! We had no prior warning!! ‼ I had never been before and Sat at the balcony and payed for 5 tickets Row b, We Couldn’t see half the stage drop and the bars were right in the view of the performance so you would need to move around to see and that would result in people behind you becoming very rude! seats were cramped together my husband’s knees were touching the woman in fronts head!nStairs are extremely steep and uneven the drop is very high! I witnessed a few leaving because of this! No warning at all the acoustic was terrible we couldn’t hear half of what was being sung to make out the story it was completely flat! And not to mention all the radiators were on and it was like an oven with no airflow at all! You felt you could faint!nWhen I spoke to the manager he wrote a little note on a scrap peace of paper completely uninterested and falsely apologetic as he walked away! We never went back after the interval! We had come to Aberdeen and booked a hotel all to see the show!
I go to His Majesty's Theatre regularly. Went to see Mama Mia. This theatre is beautiful very ornate plaster work very much of its age. My only issue was that the seating in the higher balcony could do with some TLC. New cushion pads on the seats as it gets very uncomfortable after a while. Staff are fantastic, warm and friendly.
