Great small nature reserve next to the hirst locks. It has a large variety of flowers and small shrubs. Plenty of seats an small paths to explore. Fairly quite, has a pond which had a couple of dragon flies. Also a lot of pond skaters. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.
Fantastic reserve and well looked after
Absolutely beautiful, my favourite walk, Dowley Gap to Baildon Green. Has everything you could wish for, birdsong, dappled sunlight falling through the trees, the river, the occasional canoeist or rower, cows in the open fields, ducks, geese, sometimes a heron. Lovely old mossy gnarled trees, little streams joining the river, a weir with the loud noise of rushing water.
Small but beautiful nature reserve very close to the lock closest to Saltaire on the Leeds Liverpool canal. There is a cafe on opposite side of road.

Hidden gem within 5 miles vicinity of Bradford. Its serene, picturesque and quite a fun trail. You can even take bike ride through this trail all the way upto Bingley. You can rent boats for a short river ride. Overall a must visit place if you are in Yorkshire.
Lovely walk through woods loads of birds really nice x
An excellent place for a good walk for you & your dog, you have the woods, canal & the river, suitable in all kinds of weather, but would recommend sturdy boots in the woods as it can get a little muddy. I normally take my dog through the woods, then along the canal, & along the river. You can walk towards Saltaire or if you prefer to walk further there is always shipley Glen. Depending on walking pace, I would say it can take around 1-2 hrs Shipley Glen & Saltaire much longer
I think the volunteers should look at cleaning some of the places to sit for older people who don't walk to well but love the gardens, some are covered in moss which takes a long time to cover anything.
Really amazing forest, one of the best iv been too. Two small dear approached us.
