I recently stayed at the Hilton London Green Park in Mayfair and it was a great experience. The location was perfect, just a short walk from Green Park station and all the shops and restaurants of Mayfair. The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and a modern bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet was delicious with a wide selection of options. The hotel also has a fitness center and a bar. Overall, I would highly recommend the Hilton London Green Park for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in Mayfair.
I will be brief. I changed my room because it was claustrophobic. After we got a better room, my very expensive lotions and creams were taken. After returning from a walk to Buckingham Palace I found my jewelry stolen from my locked bag. All I got from the management was a " should we call police".? Never again. creams were stolen
Rooms could use serious updating. Floors in room and hallway all Creek. Whatever the cleaning solution they use is very powerful in smell. To the point it's almost unbearable. Other than that the front desk staff is great. The complimentary breakfast they have is nice as well. And location is wonderful.
As a Diamond Status Hilton Honors loyalist to the brand, I have to say this hotel should be avoided if you care about your accommodations. The rooms are small, dirty, moldy, and vandalized. A door handle was broken. The hotel guide was empty, but propped up with a kind meaningless note on my arrival. The lobby was full of cigarette smoke from people smoking in front of an open lobby window. I complained twice about issues with my stay. Both times, the front desk staff did nothing and didn't care. Why did I waste my time. On the positive, the cleaning staff was extremely nice and the breakfast was wonderful, and better than nearby Waldorf Hilton. I thought the bed was comfortable, although my business guest I put up in another room complained extensively about the hotel and terrible worn out mattress embarrassing. The neighborhood is wonderful. In conclusion, the friendly cleaning staff should run the front desk, and front desk should think about fixing and cleaning the hotel.
On arrival, our pre-booked family room we had my 5 year old son, who was not 100% well, with us was not available, as there were issues with their booking system. We waited for about 15 minutes for them to prepare a room for us, which was large and comfortable. It was a bit tricky figuring out the lights at first, and it appears as though they are upgrading rooms, as we didn't have a working card key, even though there was a card reading lock on the door we had an old-fashioned key lock that worked, and the room, although large and clean, bore signs of wear and tear. The beds were large and comfortable, the staff ready to assist in any way they could, and the breakfast selection had a large and tasty variety of options. Although the start of our stay did not begin well, I would highly recommend the hotel, and would stay there again.
You are in good hands at this hotel - excellent customer service! The breakfast is very nice here and location is very good. Close to most major attractions and very nicely done. The rooms are a bit small, but standard for hotels in London. I have stayed here twice the last 5 years and the experience hasn't changed.
Upgrade your room, you don't want the ground floor. Feels like a dungeon and our window looked into another room 5 feet away. Our room had a whole under the carpet going into the en-suite. You could feel the springs in the mattress and the bed was really noisey. The staff was great. Nice restaurant attached. No A/C in Lobby or restaurant, but the rooms have good air.
We stayed as overnight guests here whilst we were in the area to see Les Miserables at the Queen's Theatre. The location of the hotel is it's main feature: we were less than a 15 minute walk away from London's West End and the rest of the action which was very useful. Sadly the hotel itself leaves a lot to be desired: the foyer was spacious and well presented if not a little old worldly for my tastes, though understandable for the age of the building and the bar/restaurant area stays much the same, but our room was sub-par. Apart from the dingy, dark decor that looked like it needed a lick of paint and the tiny doorways/corridors again all very typical of the old building, everything was either chipped, dented or coming apart. The floorboards were at angles that made you feel off centre to walk around and they creaked so much most every other guest knew your every move, not to mention the bed creaked enough it was almost using morse code to describe the position you slept in. The loo faced an open window with only a thin piece of fabric that betrayed your situation to the street below when you had the light on and the room had a radiator that was at odds with the AC in the main room at all times. The rest of the furniture was at best up to standard. Sadly I can't say I'd have have wanted a longer stay than I had. The hotels only other saving grace for me was the professional, helpful and accommodating staff: we had some troubles with photo ID but the staff were able to allow us to e-mail them a picture of an ID which was very flexible of them and the concierge services we used were just as helpful. They looked after our bags post-checking out while we shopped and then helped us find the fastest route to our parked car some distance away, then even quickly flagged a taxi for us. All together a good service and location let down only by the rooms they keep you in.
I'm rating this on service alone. The staff at the Green Park were so friendly and incredibly helpful. Gil and Kevin at the concierge desk were absolutely fantastic and were so kind to my son who is 3. Dora in the bar was also incredibly sweet. The location was great also, a short walk to the tube and within walking distance of almost everything. The only complaint was the noise. The floors were incredibly loud, and lots of early morning activity outside. Other than that it was great!
have only been to meetings here. pleasant front desk. reasonable meeting rooms. coffee is dire. I mean the worst ever. it's nasty. but lunch is always spot on. food delicious. sort the coffee out whatever the instant is you use for meetings? throw it away. updated July 2017. still 3 stars. still very good food. still abysmal coffee. God it's nasty
