Absolutely lovely piece of fish I purchase one large cod and one large chips and curry sauce £13.80 and it was massive value for money absolutely we cut it in half to share it well recommended need to pay a visit you will not be disappointed
Excellent quality, very fresh cod and perfect chips, I am a big eater and I could not finish what was the small cod and chips, an enormous portion. Friendly staff. I hope to revisit ASAP. Deserves their high rating in terms of review, a 9.5/10. I am very impressed .
An outstanding , perfect fish and chip supper, served with a pot of curry sauce. The standard portion is enormous, in my opinion , enough for two adults. The batter on my cod portion was light, the fish chunky and white, very fresh. The lemon wedge addedd shows attention to detail in serving the takeaway. Nice chips , and served with slightly sweet curry sauce. A very satisfying meal, a 9.5/19. Friendly service too. I devoured from the M5 on my way back to Chard, as this is a hidden gem , we'll worth a visit, just 5 minutes from the M5 motorway.
I have never seen so many chips in a portion, HUGE! Even the kids meal had enough chips for a hungry adult. Cod was a medium but more like a large.
Great fish and chip shop. Food is always excellent and service is friendly. Can get very busy in the evening, so I would recommend phoning in your order. Great selection of items on the menu including kebabs. Vegetarian options: I didn't take too much notice unfortunately, but I did see a vegetarian burger.
Went for it after seeing the endless rave reviews .... huge portion size but fish was dry n tasteless not fresh at all and chips stodgy looked greyish with skins n tasted mouldy absolutely vile. Jumbo sausage was decent.
We think the Star Fish Bar serves the best fish and chips in the area . The staff are very friendly and service is good . Products are freshly cooked .Food: 5/5
Brilliant food, good for money can feed plenty if you don't have a lot of money and you have kids. I used to go bait box not anymore. Highly recommended the star fish bar. Kid-friendliness: Staff was very Patient and well spoken.
One of the best cheesy chips I've had in a long time. Shame this place only accepts cash as would have definitely placed a bigger order. Was not able to get VAT receipt either but that's only minor issue, would definitely come back for some more food. Parking: Parking nearby, pay&display, or park at Lidl. Toilets in the big public car park but sadly were closed at the time of our visit
