I bought a highlander tent a couple of years ago and it had been in storage for a while. I got it out of the garage in anticipation of using it this summer to find the poles had degraded and we’re starting to split. I initially emailed highlander looking to buy replacements direct from the manufacturer and to my delight Anders has sent me new poles free of charge and next day postage. Absolutely blown away with this service! Couldn’t be happier with the outcome!
Ordered an Xmas gift and received an email saying out of stock and an offer of a replacement. Staff here were very efficient and helpful, and goods arrived swiftly. I would buy from Highlander Outdoor again, great customer service.

Company Anders is the main point of contact in this case will do absolutely anything to avoid refunding your money. As you can see from my screenshots they received my return on the 2nd November. Following no refund I then had to raise a dispute to PayPal thank god I didn't pay any other way which they didn't respond to within a reasonable time. This then got escalated. I tried to email them again to which Anders responded "We were actually refunding yesterday but since you have raised a case to Paypal, we cannot refund as the amount had been locked by Paypal.". This isn't true at all and anyone who uses PayPal knows that a dispute can be resolved immediately by issuing a refund, PayPal does not "lock" a refund as this is the quickest and easiest way for a dispute to be resolved for all involved. I called PayPal who advised that the company has instead decided to respond by saying that they have ten days to issue a refund as is their policy. If that were true I would have had my refund before it got disputed with PayPal. They now claim that they have ten days from me raising a dispute with PayPal which is laughable. For such a large company it certainly is worrying that they employ someone who's sole focus seems to be to get one over on a customer wanting a refund that maintain the integrity of their business and reputation. I truly hope delaying a £117 refund was worth the numerous negative reviews I have left on various platforms. To those considering buying from this company I would suggest going elsewhere and saving yourself the difficulty of dealing with Anders and his shocking customer service. In response to: "By doing so, your transaction was put on hold by PayPal. This prevented us processing your refund on 14th Nov, as we had to provide all documentation to Paypal, to assist their investigation."# PayPal doesn't lock transactions when a dispute is raised. I've been on the "seller" end of a dispute myself and you can issue a refund to immediately resolve it. PayPal only require supporting documentation if you are arguing it, which you did by claiming you had ten days to refund me.
This store needs 5 stars. Received my hiking boots and just finished testing them. Fantastic fit awesome grip. I cannot fault these boots. I purchased a Highlander Munro jacket from another company where it was found to be faulty. The company in question whom I purchased it from failed to answer e-mails over a number of weeks with regards to the issue with the jacket. I decided to contact Highlander direct just to ask for advice and whether they had seen a similar problem with any other jackets. Highlander replied back saying although this wasn't purchased directly from them they were more than happy to offer a replacement. I think this is unbelievable service and an unbelievable gesture where I cant praise them enough for helping me out. For anyone looking for a quality item from a totally reliable company look no further the Highlander Scotland
Great gear 5*. I've used Highlander products for years. Never fail to disappoint. Excellent value and great quality. My most recent purchase was bamboo base layers + a fleece. I'm using them for hiking & golf. Lightweight, soft and keep you warm! Happy customer :
Ordered two new camping chairs. Arrived apparently used as even in the box they smelled smoky, presumably from a camp fire. Company expressed confusion as they claim not allow used goods to be returned. So, have no idea what happened. Would not shop here again.

Over the years I have owned a few highlander tents each time I have thoroughly enjoyed my camping trips. Always weatherproof and comfortable sleeps. This has lead me to purchasing other products such as camping stoves that always proved reliable. I've had a few highlander rucksacks that were also very well constructed and carried my equipment with ease. The customer service has always been on point. Highly recommended.
