Fantastic place to visit for all ages, specially at Christmas as their displays are like a wonderland. The restaurant is spacious and can accommodate large parties. I went there taking a group from our nursing home. Our charges thoroughly enjoyed the outing eventhough there was just enough time  for a cup of tea and a browse around.
I will definitely go back to have a proper look at their gardening stock.
I agree that the loose parrot was a bit disconcerting.

I visit this garden centre quite often although it is about 20 miles from my home.  Today I bought a few items in the gift dept that had a sign saying 50% off marked price, (not "up to 50%)  At the till the discount was less although it matched the second price on the items.  I queried this and was told that the price I was being charged was right as she had checked due to several other customers saying the same thing.  I explained what the sign said but to no avail.  I still purchased the items as it was the principal I objected to not the actual price.  Afterwards I mentioned it to the lady on the information desk who said the price was right.  I understand this but said seeing as several other customers had already brought it to their attention maybe it would be a good idea to change the signage to save further problems. The incident spoilt the whole visit for me as I felt like I was looked upon as a nuisance so it will probably be a long time before I visit again.

One of my fave garden centers, a tad expensive but they have a good selection of plants & flowers. They also sell pots, compost, stone edging and steps, live animals such as chickens and there is a lovely cafe onsite to grab some refreshments.
If you're green fingered and like to treat yourself then tgis is the place for you, if you're looking for a cost effective way to plant up your garden there are better centres and nurserys around (out towards Newent and Dymock).
