Perfectly located station providing fast regular access to most major cities & towns across England.nIts facilities are perfectly adequate, clean & the staff are always on hand should you need assistance.
It was full apart from one space which I took. Sorry The spaces are ok in size compared to concrete car parks... where you can’t open your doors once you are parked... BUT this car park has a big mole problem and no lambos Ferrari’s etc can park here or they might get grounded and that would hold everyone up. See picture.nnIt would have got 4 stars if the signs were better and the arrows on the floor weren’t all worn away.. it’s easy to drive along and get stuck near the network rail gate and have to do a 27 point turn.nnYou pay at the train ticket machine which is weird but ok.. seems to work. £9 all day which is cheap as chips compared to SOHOnn!!Ok covid update: this is not a busy car park at the moment. Its much easierto drive in when its empty because even though you still cant see the tiny signs you can just drive all over the place and its fine no one minds. New picture of Halogen Pigeons feet warmer. Must be costing them a fortune but I'm sure the pigeons appreciate it.nn.
Parking here is a nightmare, seriously. Spaces are way too tight, and it's always jammed. Finding a spot feels like winning the lottery, but then you worry about door dings. It's expensive too, which adds insult to injury. Honestly, I'd rather cycle.
Parking for a day trip to London is a breeze. Just scan a QR code and follow the instructions on their website. At the time of parking, it cost £6.90 for an all-day pass.
Average train station. Tea from the little cafe on the platforms is consistent and fairly priced. Well sheltered when waiting and trains are very consistently on time although crowded at rush hour. Parking is available next to all platforms. Some gates don't have qr readers for online tickets which is a bit painful if arriving at platform 3 but I generally use my smart card when going into London using this platform. When using for platform 1 and 2 there is always a very helpful and knowledgeable chap on the gate.
