Absolutely fantastic day out! spent over 5 hours at the site following the 2 trails and the mansion. Staff are friendly and informative, grounds are very well kept and they have spent a lot of money on the site recently with new buildings and an extension to the miniature ride on railway. Food was really nice, homemade and cooked to order but was surprisingly quick even though the restaurant was busy. Table next to us finished and left and within literally 30 seconds the staff had cleared the table and restocked the condiments that they had used !! A really fantastic day out for all ages and can not recommend this place enough!!

What an amazingly quirky place this is, I've lived here 8 years and never even knew it existed. We visited with 4 children aged between 3 and 15, there was plenty for everyone to do. However I would suggest if you want to get really absorbed in the notion of the day, then perhaps visiting with older children would be better (our 3 year old was more interested in climbing through the next hole in the wall than joining in completing our missions within the mansion). We've all had a lovely day and the kids even began to work as a team at one point. We had initially planned to visit a theme park in Devon but I happened to come across this just before we set of and had a last minute change of plan, I'm very glad we did as we hadn't ever done anything like this before. Hidden Valley is good value for money, we were there for 7 hours and could of stayed longer.

Had a fantastic day here. Highly recommend it if you like puzzles, mystery tours, escape rooms or geocaching as it is in a similar vein. We were one of the few people without accompanying children which we were originally skeptical about, thinking we'd look out of place...we needn't of worried as the puzzle clues were very much at an adult level and we got totally absorbed in the game. There was a little train there which kept kids happy and a play area plus loads of secret tunnels to crawl through if you're going with the family. It should meet the needs of a vast spectrum of ages. Did I say we loved it!🤗

Wow .. what a cool quirky original place for our children to escape the technological shackles of today's society and boy do they have to use their brains for this one!! Pricing is good, train driver is a star .. thanks for letting my daughter continually ride when it was quiet!! My only gripe .. young kids, with no adult supervision running riot through the forbidden mansion .. it spoilt the experience for us and some other families. I was quite surprised staff didn't intervene as every room has CCTV? All in all a good few hours out and well worth a visit!!

This place is so much fun! An absolute hidden gem. We went with our two daughters aged 8 and 2, on a day with sunshine and rain showers. There was plenty to do outdoors and inside. The Forbidden Mansion was absolutely brilliant and I know my 8 year old will definitely have some fab memories of racing against the clock to finish the puzzles and the hidden doors in the strangest of places. The youngest loved the train ride and finding the pigs! Really lovely, friendly staff who made us feel so welcome, great café (we brought a picnic but had cake and coffee in the cafe and cake was magnificent!). Can't recommend this place more highly. A great day out.
