Finished work, on my way home stopped at Hi Tide about 10pm Sunday, never been to this shop before, picked up large Cod and Chips. Got home laid out the food on a plate.. Cod very oily and too much batter on it. The Chips were the worse I have encountered, absolutely appalling, it’s like they were out of a dustbin. My 1st and Last visit to this place. What’s shocking is that can the people cooking or serving cannot see that standard of the chips is really bad and should not be served. I very rarely complain about food places, but this was really bad. Hopefully this shop can improve by reading this review.
Have to say heard a lot about this place was very very disappointed. The chips were stale and not tasty at all, the chicken fillet burger was rubbery and seemed to be a processed lump of chicken very disappointing, the mix meat and cod was nice, they do accept card as well.as long as it is over 7 quid overall disappointing.Food: 2/5
Judge for yourself. Stale and bruised chips as if they came out of A&E. More saddened with the fact it was my first Cod and Chips in months. Fish was first class but shame about the rest.
Ordered Hi Tide after such a long time, quality is still top, donner meat was on point, double cheeseburger hit the spot we ordered quiet late, chicken was dry and old, totally understand towards end of the day. Portion is amazing and price is perfect All notes listened to, highly recommend.Food: 4/5
I am a regular customer but I swear the skinny Asian guy is the worst. I order a large kebab, he give me small potion of kebab and loads of chips. He also keep touching his nose while touching the food. Absolutely disgusting. It’s the guy that was in around the evening on the 09/07/24. I prefer the regular two guys the slightly chubby Asian guy, sorry uncle and the Arsenal fan. I’m sorry hi tide but I can no longer come to this establishment if that’s guys there. Nothing personal.
Asked for kebab in pitta bread but was wrongly given nan. Had to pay the extra £1.50 extra even though I said I had requested for pitta bread. Real scammers. I had been going to King kebab nearby, but I thought of trying this for change. Never going back here again. I'll be going to King kebab next time
This place has gone down the drain, i got served a load of mashed potatoes with battered bruised and veiny chicken! Binned it ofcourse. Never again!

I have been going to Hi Tide since I went to secondary school now I'm 52 and shop under new management the portion of chip s go big and small portions they need to measure in a plate and chips look full of oil and 1member of looks scared to give chips.
