I paid £25 for Hi-Tech to assess my TV for repairs. I was told by them that any repair on the TV would be prohibitively expensive and they would dispose of the TV on my behalf. When I said I wanted to collect the TV they were pretty disgruntled. I collected the TV and on my way out of the store was warned by the owner not to bother taking the TV elsewhere for repair. Called Chapman's TV Services the following week, who came to my home to collect the TV and assess it (free of charge), and then repaired and delivered it back to my home with a 10 month warranty for a fraction of what Hi-Tech claimed the parts alone would cost.
