I went in today to get some documents checked for a DBS which I unfortunately can't do online. And I arrived 25 minutes before closing time to be told its too late to do that now as they are counting up and they leave at exactly 5. I was told to come before 12 tomorrow when they shut at 1 therefore suggesting they stopping serving you for this service up to an hour before closing? I think maybe to be useful this should be advertised somewhere or even better the opening times to be changed rather than wasting people's time.

The post office staff refuses customers before the closing time. Unfriendly. At the same time I feel for the staff and their job retention. It’s much cheaper and convenient to pay online, collection and labels are free too.  Plus our postman is way friendlier which makes a difference when you post a lot!

This review is for the 2 lovely staff that were working in the post office today. They were busy but showed patience and politeness.  They were very efficient and the guy that served me was very helpful to me and to an elderly lady who was struggling to fill in a form. Thank you!

Website clearly says they are open until 1730. But they refuse to serve you after 1715, and let you wait in line before letting you know. Then cheerfully ask ‘see you tomorrow?’. Not likely! I will go to a different branch, thanks very much. They also let their kids play behind the counter - totally unprofessional.

Got parcels ready today - checked website - open til 4pm. Went at 2:30 and paid for parking to find they closed at 2pm. Disgusting update the website or stay open. They have enough screens in there to withstand a robbery. Why are they on short hours - NHS -Fire etc aren’t and neither is post office in Birkenhead.

Advertised as opening until 5:30pm but stop postage services at ‘5:15ish’ so therefore won’t take your parcels. Go elsewhere - it’s got worse with new owners.

Always ready to help despite the vast people who use its service now that the banks have left.

When I walked in they had hand gel, spaced really well for covid, counter staff did their jobs but alongside a nice little chat. Well done.

Staff here are rude and it's not a pleasant experience going there.  I'll stick to my local post office in future where you're treated like a customer and not an inconvenience.

Be warned, when it says they close at 5.30. This actually means they are open but won't serve you. As they have already cashed up and packed away ready to go home by 5:15. Terrible service
