We went to hesketh today and it was absolutely stunning. The setting is out of this world, the value for money was superb, so many different things to do. We moved bottle feeding the lambs which was included in the price. Tractor ride was well worth the extra £1.50! Absolutely going to return thank you!
What a great day out. It’s really good value. There’s so many animals and you can pet, touch and hold most of them if not all. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and like to let you know what’s going on and facts about the animals and farm. As well as feeding the calf’s milk, holding th Guinea pig and chicks. We fed the horses, followed the tortoise around the park that was jus wandering about as the kids played Say some newly born goats. Then there’s a big play park that the kids loved as much as the animals. There’s a nice cafe that serves kids lunch boxes with sandwiches and fruits as well sausage rolls and sweet treats. There’s also a snacks and ice cream place that sells toys and drinks.
Great farm and huge playground. Great family day out. Cafe indoors selling sandwiches, sausage rolls, cakes and drinks.
If it’s sunny, come, if it’s winter, come! They have an outdoor and indoor play area with a barn that has everything little ones need to entertain them for a full morning! Lovely staff; this is the best place to go with little ones and if you are not into cafe food, you could always end the day @ Billy Bob’s 5 minutes away with the most delicious sorbet!
Absolutely brilliant , got loads of cuddles with the Guinea pigs . They had lots of fun things to do, holding the chicks , grooming the pigs , feeding the goats. The play area was great : They had lots of baby animals too and the cafe was nice . The play area for little ones also looked fun . Highly recommend and the entrance fee was super reasonable . Can’t wait to go back
Fantastic place for a family day out. Loads to do with different farming activities such as feeding the animals and collecting eggs. We loved brushing the pigs and guinea pigs! The play park is absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend a day!
Good farm, not too overcrowded. Good selection of animals but there isnt enough staff to ensure the welfare of the animals, especially around young children. The animals are clearly well looked after, they are social and not aggressive in any way. My only concerns are the low staff to people ratio and that I was charged an extra 20p when the signs stated £3, which is already quite expensive for a small coffee.
A Great family day out! Asked my 2 year old what he wanted to do on treat day, his answer was simple "Old McDonald's Farm". So we loaded up and set off over to Hesketh farm great for the young ones, petting, feeding, egg collecting, outdoor play and a great café. I must add one more thing try the new whippy Ice cream it was great and a good price too.
Lovely afternoon. Could easily spend all day there. Plenty to do for all ages. Holding and combing guinea pigs, feeding lambs watching chics hatch. Building sand castles, racing on go carts. Nog to mention all the tractors to climb on and all the amazing playground equipment. With a lovely indoor area to have a rest, enjoy a luxury hot chocolate or bring your own picnic. Clean Toilets and baby change facilities.
So much to do in a beautiful location. Animal feeding every half hour for the children. Guinea pigs to hold and stroke. Tractors, go karts, climbing frames music its got everything. Very impressed with the place. Will definitely be going back. A little pricey but a quality location and you can even take your own picnic to make a day of it.
