Hertford Glass was founded in 1971.

Story

Hertford Glass was founded in 1971, to offer a glazing service for the local area. The original founders cut precision glass for installation into single glazed windows, and this art is still practiced by our skilled craftsmen today.

Today, we are an established installer of double-glazing products and we now boast a full range of products in order to satisfy all your glazing and security needs. All our products are to British Kite Mark Standard, and we are proud members of the Glass and Glazing Federation. We are a member of FENSA, who regulate the glazing industry, this ensures that all our installations comply with Government Regulations applicable to the building industry.

We offer a full range of products and services from windows, doors and conservatories, to individual panes of glass custom cut to size. Our products will fulfill all your security requirements, both for insurance purposes and your individual peace of mind.

Excellent service from Hertford Glass. Many years ago Hertford Glass updated virtually all our windows to a very high standard and we have never needed any aftercare, which speaks volumes in itself. Recently, one of the locking systems became faulty and an engineer from Hertford Glass came and fixed it very quickly. Great customer service from Ryan who really went out of his way to find an engineer, after I explained that we were about to go away for a few days and we were concerned about security. Ryan kept us updated at all times which was very reassuring. Fantastic service all round. I highly recommend Hertford Glass. Thank you.

Had a new French door fitted in my one bedroom flat on Monday 5 June 2023. This has a tilt and turn feature on its RHS. Really pleased with the outcome - the work was completed very promptly within about 6-7 weeks. Rhys did an excellent job fitting this for me and ably explained/demonstrated how to open the window into the 2 possible positions with care. I also had a favourable experience with Adrian and Michael who came to my flat to take measurements. The other staff I dealt with in the shop were also very courteous and kept me in the loop during the steps of the manufacturing process. I had 2 replacement windows fitted by the company in April too. These were examined by the industry watchdog FENSA who gave a first class/very professional job feedback upon inspection of the work. I would have no problem recommending this firm to my friends and family. Many Thanks.
Great company to deal with, I have just had a number of windows replaced at home, and my house has been transformed. The fitters were hard working, quick and tidy. I’m very happy to recommend them.
The chaps Jamie etc that come out to do installations are excellent. We’ve had two windows and front door done so far. The post installation customer service from those in office is pretty poor… having to chase up to find out what’s going on. Not exactly timely either.
I had Dan who is the business owner come to my house in early April to size up some windows I needed for a garden room. He told me he would send a quote within a couple of days and expected the windows to take a couple of weeks to be made. Instead, I spent most of April and May trying to get Dan to provide me with the promised quote. When it did arrive five weeks after his visit and after numerous chaser emails and calls, it was not in line with what I had requested and needed to be updated. It is now late June and that updated quote still hasn't arrived. I have moved onto another supplier Enfield Windows, for anyone who is looking for a reliable alternative, who have been highly responsive and are due to fit my windows within a month of my making contact with them. Dan and Hertford Glass take note - this is how customer service is supposed to work! I would warn anyone considering using these cowboys to be wary. They make promise after promise with apparently no intention of keeping to their word. I am glad I found out before I ended up having to rely on any warranty they may be offering.
A professional company, with outstanding customer service. Their work is 1st class. Jamie saved the day with a late night call out. If I could rate them higher than 5 stars I would.
