Does the job for a couple of nights stay. Clean, not a lot of space, the coridors smell a bit sometimes (thankfully the room did not). The breakfast is ok. You get what you pay for.

Simply... this is not the place in which they make you sleep. They overbook and give you other accomodation in another building. The alternative room, obviously, is minuscule and bad furnished.

Just back from 4 nights in edinburgh, its a wonderful city, but was very disappointed in our accomodation, it was difficult to get some place at the time i was booking, but this guest house looked nice enough....well wrong! The owners couldn't speak hardly any english, so couldn't really help with directions etc., Our room was crammed and while not dirty, it was dated and felt grubby. The ensuite was in a cupboard ( yes i mean it) and the shower was destroyed in mildew. It was a full time job to get into ensuite without breaking your toes! Breakfast was ok, there was plenty on plate, but some of it wasn't too appetising. The tea was cold, and the "gentleman" (I use the term lightly), that was serving, could do with cleaning himself up a bit! We won't be returning, but thankfully the rest of our holiday was lovely.
