An outstanding mature garden with a massive range of trees, shrubs, herbaceous plants etc well labelled. The vision of the generations of gardeners who have created and maintained this garden over the centuaries is amazing. I loved the Acers that are showing wonderful Autumn colour already in the last week of September 2017. Well worth a visit!

This place is simply magical. Such an amazing display of planting. Lovely mature gardens and an outstanding tea room with the friendliest staff. They all take great pride in their work. Absolutely wonderful day out

Beautiful gardens and arboretum with lots of unusual silver birch, maple and rhododendron. Best in spring and autumn.

Lovely place to get away from it all. Beautiful walks in the gardens and woods. Plants for sale and gift shop. Children get in free, but tea room is a bit pricey.

Beautiful gardens, lovely place for a stroll. Don't stop in the cafe for a drink or food unless you have lots of time on your hands. We waited half an hour and no one came to take our order, not even for our drinks. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else for lunch.
