Lovely golf course, beautiful views and some very memorable holes. Make sure you’re straight from the tee or you could well end up losing plenty of balls yes, sadly I’m writing this based on my own experience. My main criticism of the course is the distance between some of the holes. The course at times can feel pretty disjointed and the signs could be clearer on some holes. Overall, a very week kept course and good day out.
We played here a few years ago before the clubhouse was extended by the new owner. What a difference. Very nice. As well as a refurbishment of the clubhouse a balcony has been added where you can sit out for a drink. Really enjoyed the golf course. Some blind shots and very undulating. We used a buggy on a hot day as I doubt we would have got round otherwise ! We will definitely play it again when we are in the area.
Tee boxes, fairways and greens all in excellent condition. A very welcome halfway house on the 11th with tasty bacon or sausage baps and lots of other goodies.
Great golf course with beautiful views. No two holes the same and the course is in amazing condition. Not overly long with few bunkers but still a challenge.
Captain greeted us when we arrived, and told us the history of the club. Was even there when we finished our round to see how we got on. Will Return
Did not play golf here. I was out on bike ride, hot day and run out of fluids while cycling up the hill. Went to the bar to see if they would top up my bottle with water and without hesitation did so. When asked how much they send nothing. That deserves a five star rating in my book and the golf course looks great.
Fantastic course and club house. Very good condition greens and fairways….. we were playing 4 courses in the area, and this was way better than all of them….including the mathern st Pierre!! I’m a member at the Oxfordshire, and remember when my course was as nice as this !!! A couple of blind holes that you must aim at the markers, as they are accurate . Beautiful course.
Golf course in vary good condition, greens reasonably fast fairways cut well really soft to walk on, plenty of run on the ball. Disappointed in bacon roll, bacon hardly cooked nearly raw. Club and changing room rebuilt to vary high standard well worth a visit.
Lovely course in great condition with slick greens, really enjoyable...only dampner was the lack of food in the clubhouse...just a blackboard with sandwiches and not much else sadly. Choice of bacon sausage and a side of chips...something easily fixed, or if there were more choices perhaps that could of been explained....
Absolutely fantastic golf course .....the staff were brilliant..every single person so helpful and friendly.....the food was top class....you will not be disappointed!!! We will be back !!
