I really wanted to like this places more, as they are doing so many things right. It came down to execution. Positives: very clean place, a lot of seating options, efficient and friendly window service, home cooked meats and protein. Knowing it was a sandwich focused place, I felt like the portion was small, bread didn’t support the meat too soft, maybe could’ve toasted or grilled to add texture and the meat was slice too thick. I get what they were going for, but nobody wants to chew so much on ever bite. These could be simple fixes. I will try again, as it could have been an off day. I’m also okay paying more for a sandwich with a good bread to beef ratio. If it’s good, people are okay because they see value.
Say what you want but this place is pushing top notch sandwiches for New England. To serve roast beef the way they do, and have it so tender, it has to be quality. Interior and vibe inside is very warm and welcoming, not to mention VERY clean and neat. My sandwich was ready in less than 4 mins. I would be a regular here if I lived here.
I really enjoyed my meal here. The atmosphere was very calm and welcoming. They had plenty of options to choose from and I was able to customize my sandwich without a problem. The ingredients were of high quality and seem to be either made in-house or purchased locally. For how good the quality was, I would say that their prices are below what I expected. The bread was soft and sweet which I enjoyed. I am new to Kittery and will be going here often. I'm not sure what the other reviews were about referencing high prices or tasteless meat because that was certainly not my experience. I was highly impressed!
This place is somewhere you want to discover. Absolutely amazing everytime we go! Like... to die for! They still do the old school punch cards to earn points to get one free! Go there!Food: 5/5
So fresh, crisp and delicious. Staff is super friendly. We have been there 3 or 4 times and I keep going back because there are so many other sandwiches I want to try! Great place and definitely something different.Food: 5/5
Plenty of menu options for people to choose from, generally quick and friendly service, and relatively affordable. My -ONLY- issue is how they cut the beef for sandwiches. Cutting the beef into cubes, versus slicing it thinly, enunciates the toughness and chewyness of the beef, which is unpleasant. I don't quite know what they're thinking with this approach, but I know I'm probably not the only person to feel this way. Otherwise, a decent experience overall.
The service was fast and friendly! The sandwiches were tasty enough but seemed pretty small compared to other cost-comparable places in the area, and the salad lettuce had seen better days. For the cost to what you get ratio, I don’t think we would eat here again.
