We had the small meals, which come with a drink, plus bread and butter, side salad and either mushy peas or curry sauce. This was in the restaurant. For cod or rock and chips, this was £6.95 each and was quite filling. The service was friendly and efficient. Would recommend it.

Mario is always friendly to me when I come in. I always feel welcome. The food is great and the staff are friendly. Mario should win an award for best customer service in town! They also deliver.

Great value, clean, fast, friendly, authentic fish and chips Whenever I visit Southend on Sea, this is the place I try to make time to visit. This is not the first time I've had cod and chips and every time it's exceptionally good, served quickly and with a friendly flourish! I recommend the meal deals - from GBP6.95 you get cod and chips, a drink, a nice side-salad with red onion, mushy peas or curry sauce, and a slice of bread with a spread or butter (I'm not sure). It's centrally located, so ideal if shopping or have parked at Sainsbury's opposite. The chips were not the best in Southend, but they're pretty good. The cod was superb and fried beautifully. The curry sauce is not to my liking, but that's an option for those who like it. All considered, as near to excellent as you're likely to get for the location and price.
