Fantastic service. I needed a dishwasher plumbing in and these guys came out in under an hour  did the job and tidied up afterwards. Superb service from a great local company. I asked H&H to plumb our renovated house. I have used the in the past with no problems, and thought that would continue. However, it has not. They have made a long list of errors from shower waste 8" off the bathroom floor ( i wouldn't have been able to stand in the shower without my head against the ceiling) and at one point running up hill. 10mm heating pipe kinked in many places, and would have remained so if i hadn't gone through and checked it all. New slate roof, there plumbers manages to melt 2 fist sized holes in the felt ruining the water integrity of it. What made that worse was they just didn't mention it, i had to check all there work. New floors with holes in where none were required. Some pipe work had to be done 3 times. They had copper pipes clipped tight against concrete block walls, other pipe work touching stone and concrete. Downstairs shower waste pipe in the wrong place. Toilet waste 2.25" too low with the cold feed for the toilet actually behind the cistern, for which i had to pull a newly plastered wall out and dig the pipe work out of the stone wall and reset it myself. On doing so i also found that the sink waste snaked around a stone causing potential problems in the future with blockages, guess they were just too lazy to hit the stone with a chisel. They used my own tools and broke some of them, including a chop saw which i told them not to use. Had to push one of there plumbers to pressure test plumbing, and was lucky i did because there was a leak in the sitting room ceiling which a day later would have been plastered. There was very little project management from the bosses. The plumbers changed, to start with on a daily basis until i complained, and had no guidance as to what yesterdays plumber had done , and what the plan was.

There are also other faults that i haven't listed here. I am not a plumber, I should not be able to pick holes in there quality of work, but it wasn't hard to.

David Harrison has seen all these errors and said to me that he wishes that he could find some excuses, but he couldn't. He also apologised for his lack of project management. There really seems to be little interest from them in the mess they have made. I am very unhappy and disappointed with the whole situation.

I have now sacked them, they have fixed some of the problems, the rest i have done myself and told them they will receive a bill for the work. We will have to wait and see if i receive payment. I am also trying to get some money back, but they seem to be doing there best to try and squirm out of that too.

All in all, I am sorry to say that the work was shoddy in the extreme,  there attitude and pride in there work was very poor. Generally communications are sporadically poor at best unless it's in there interest.

Try Parkend, have been told they are at the higher end price wise, but come and do a good job. Advice from a builder that also had problems with H&H. Have since heard of other people that have also had problems, this is not a one off. I feel sorry for the people that are not noticing there poor work, and paying good money for it.

My Advice, steer clear!!
