Really good water park good size carpark excellent facilities including cafe and toilets. Large kid play area and a man-made beach by the waters edge. Lots of wildlife to see, a lovely place for picnics or just a steady stroll.
Nice park to visit. They have some sandy banks and kids loved them. It's a massive park and also has parks within it for kids which is an added bonus
What a fantastic free day out with the kids. Man made beach, picnic areas, beach shop and cafe. Brilliant
No fun whatsoever, security guard is telling everyone to stick to the boundaries, the boundaries are minimal, only gets up to your knees. No inflatables makes it boring, kept repeating to get out with them, hottest day so far is ruined. The security guard is the one creating a mess here driving a diesel buggy causing mess to the environment.. don't visit this place . It was better last year
Lovely walk around d the lake. A couple of well kept play parks, lakeside cafe selling food and drinks, indoor ball pool. Loads of birds to feed
Water was a little dirty but people were still swimming there so clearly didn't bother the children
A beautiful park surrounding two small lakes, well stocked with ducks, Canada Geese and wildlife. Two open sanded play areas are ideal for families with children to play in warmer weather, plus an enclosed adventure play park small fee. Towards the end of busy hot days the litter bins can become overloaded, but mainly the park is kept clean & tidy. Personally I don’t think the water looks appetising enough to swim in, but hoards of kids do enjoy cooling down by splashing around especially in the hot weather… The spacious waterside cafe has bar facilities including a large kiddies soft play zone to enjoy sitting indoors. There is also plenty of wooded seating outdoors over looking the lake, amongst well stocked beautiful flower beds/baskets, which is very popular in the summertime. Hearty carvery lunches are reasonably priced and available Wednesday & Sundays, to eat-in or takeout. Also a snack bar is open along with a well attended ice cream van in nice weather. There is plenty of easily accessible parking, with a small entrance fee on busy days, but mainly free of charge. Easy for wheelchair/buggy access around the cafe/toilet area but more challenging around the walks on the farside of the lake as the path can become slippery/muddy on the sloped parts in wet weather.
Took our youngest along. Park was packed. Our youngest is at the age where 'i'm too old' for the play grounds and body conscious about the beaches. Tried to tempt them to let their hair down, even suggested the pedalos but all I got dropped shoulders and "Aww mum really". Still, we took a slow wander around watching wild fowl and dragon flies. All in all still had a great relaxing afternoon.
Don't go expecting some great big waterpark otherwise you'll be disappointed. Instead think of it as a boating lake with a beach and activities with a large play area next to it. Decent little shop there selling what you would expect and a toilet that could be better. Obviously it does get busy when it's hot and even though there is a large overspill car park there is still a lot of lazy... people that will just park where they feel like. Ps. Most sat navs will try and send you down a private road. That's the wrong way. The right way is the entrance that looks like you're turning into a nursing home. Makes sense when you're there.
A nice park, seems to be well maintained. Cafe, toilets lots of areas for children. Swings roundabouts and slides etc. Nice walk areas. All really good. Will also be a great day out in spring and summer days for all family. Would recomend a visit.
