Had to travel a lot recently to visit someone in hospital on a daily basis. Half the time the the blinds are down and unable to buy a ticket at the counter. So called staff who are supposed to check people's tickets and be helpful to customers are aways to busy standing around looking down at there mobile phones and are not very helpful at all. YET they complain about working conditions and pay when all they do is stand in a corner on there mobile phones.
Had a short trip to Hemel Hempstead. Such a cool place for gateway from London stress.
The station is quite quaint - it’s not a huge station like it’s counterparts closer to London which gives it quite a nice country vibe. It’s kept pretty clean, staff are helpful and if you are going off peak it’s usually a pleasant experience - during peak you probably won’t get a seat which for the price is a little depressing. Overall it’s a nice station should you pass through but nothing special.
Small and nice station, Disable entrance, disable toilet, ticket Counter, Ticket machine..Taxi rank you dont need to book..

Visited on Monday 3rd Oct 21. Ticket machines closed, front entrance closed and no members of staff around to explain the situation at 4pm on Monday! or help passengers. Had to go round to the side exit to get in.
Cool staff. Coffee bar but no more stars sorry. Why is parking so expensive when the government wants us to get out of our cars. The knock on effect is that cars are parking on the street blocking traffic. Why stop cars picking up or setting down in front of the station. The allocated space is too small. Tonight there were a lot of frustrated drivers who were blocked.
Due to new vehicle restrictions applied by the station, traffic is regularly blocking the main road, making access terrible and just driving past the station is also a nightmare. The station authorities clearly don't care about users of this station, as they have had big payouts from the taxis to re-arrange the restrictions for their own needs. Someone qualified to run the station needs to take over asap.
recently turnt 90% of parking and waiting into taxi rank with no where to drop of or pick up. there is 8 spaces for cars o park with about fifty taxi spots who also sit in the car spot anyway
Above average. Has seating, lifts, an ATM, shelter and a ticket office. Also has a taxi rank and a small bus station nearby. Some bits of signage is in gold for some reason.
