NewnBright and accessible building for Dr's. Use reception or self check in on arrival. Point of note the car park is not part of the Medical Centre and local charges apply in council carpark across the road. There is an in house Pharmacy which is part of the Medical Centre but Halls Pharmacy is also here but completely seperate buisiness.
Lady on reception with colours in her hair was rude and dismissive when I asked about a form I was expecting all day the previous day.. Had been told the previous day that it was with my GP and was being finished only to be told today that my GP was not working yesterday and they would 'try' and get it sorted today. When I politely tried to explain the urgency, the receptionist blanked me and started doing something else. Why lie on the first day?? We are asked to be polite and respectful - should be reciprocated!!!
0/5 stars. Helston Medical Centre has consistently provided some of the worst care I’ve experienced. Many receptionists come across as rude or dismissive, and the rest, while polite, are clearly stretched so thin that they can’t offer any real help. It’s no surprise that so many patients have already left the practice — and I will be joining them.nTrying to get an appointment is almost impossible. Unless your situation is critical, you’re pushed into the triage system and told someone will call “later in the day”, which in reality means waiting days or even weeks. When I was seriously unwell with vertigo, the practice did absolutely nothing to support me.nThe way this place is run by the management team shows a complete disregard for patients’ needs, and serious changes are urgently required.
Really helpful staff. Special thanks to the prescription and dispensary team. I only didn't give 5 star because parking can be tight.
I found the receptionist to be quite rude, abrupt, and condescending. When contacting your GP, the last thing you should have to worry about is being spoken to disrespectfully by the person answering the phone. There was a noticeable lack of politeness, empathy, and understanding. Most concerning is that, based on previous reviews, this appears to be a recurring issue that has yet to be addressed. This level of service is very poor and simply unacceptable.
