Been studying at Manchester Uni since 2015. Not had a good experience with my course since I started, but honestly have to say, this was the nicest accommodation I have stayed at throughout my years in Manchester -it's a huge shame I only discovered it during my final year, defo changed my previously negative opinion of living in Manchester! Exceptional staff, sososo kind, honestly really grateful for the care I've received. Whenever I went into the reception, there was always at least one friendly face though usually numerous to greet me with a warm welcome and make me feel a lot better about my day -they would be there to listen to my boring rants about my dissertation, and reassure and motivate me to keep going. Have to give a special shoutout to Rebecca -she was like having a mate at the accommodation; she managed to maintain her professional limits, whilst also providing a warm, cheery conversation -actually very much looked forward to visiting the office to see her, along with the rest of the staff. Thank you all, you never EVER failed to put a smile on my face! Kindness of the staff aside, it was an exceptional accommodation -most modern I have stayed at throughout my years at uni -slightly on the pricier side, but it's reasonable given all the facilities that are available great gym, with group training sessions on Wednesdays -that my lazy busy self never had time for, cinema room, and numerous common rooms. Good for socialising too again, I didn't have time but there were fliers and emails throughout the year -like free pancakes on pancake day; but at the same time, being in my final yr, I found it peaceful enough to get on with my studies I lived in Block 4. Thank you for the great stay, and I really hope to visit in the near future, while the current staff are still there. For future students, cannot emphasise enough how important it is to live somewhere where you are happy while being away from home, for the sake of your studies/mental & physical wellbeing. Really supportive accommodation, and would highly recommend. Not getting paid for this review lol -I wish!- Though I will add that the accommodation unexpectedly kindly refunded the final rent instalment due to the corona outbreak -if that doesn't say great accommodation, I don't know what else to say. Had a smooth stay here during my time in Manchester. Friendly staff, clean and well maintained property. Love the brand new design. Had a comfortable stay. Conveniently located near grocery stores, restaurants and hospitals. I had an issue paying my rent for the last quarter and they were understanding and accomodated to break down the payment into smaller installments. Would highly recommend
The rooms are very modern and bright. The kitchen is fitted with oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer! But it is the staff at the reception that makes the accommodation great. Somehow they remember your name, and are always very friendly and welcoming. I had a problem with my room, and the staff went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable.
I want to provide a detailed review for those who are considering this accommodation as I was put off myself by the bad reviews. I initially wanted a short term contract for three months and I later extended it until the end of the academic year. The team were excellent at sorting this out for me. There were several parties hosted by the team throughout my stay, which was very welcoming. The team were also very good at moving students to other flats if necessary. The rooms are bright, airy and dry but they are not sound proof. If someone sneezed in the room next to yours, you would hear it. When I first arrived, my room was being used as storage by another flatmate. My flatmates weren't aware I was moving in. I later found out that 'unannounced' flatmates were common. There were a lot of maintenance problems with the flat. Most were sorted very quickly same day. However, some remained throughout the whole tenancy despite reporting them several times. There were significantly more maintenance issues in these halls compared with any others I've stayed in. It became very tiresome in the end. I felt like I was always waiting for the next problem. The major criticism I have is with a breach of privacy whilst living there. I sent a private email to the team concerning my flatmate. I was later confronted by my flatmate for sending the email and she could specify the details in it. I had told NO ONE I had sent the email. It was clear a member of staff had shown her the private email. This was something I was very upset about. I would have put 3/5 stars but Hello Student handled Covid 19 extremely well. We were all offered an early termination and refund, which is very reasonable. I would recommend these halls, especially to social students, but not above the university run student halls.
Victoria point, lived here for 3 years now, the location of the accommodation is great! Close to university and city centre! The accommodation is very clean and it’s good to see how much they have developed the accommodation in these years as there is cinema and great socials areas. The only cons about this place would be the staff changes very quick, in my 3 years being every year the office team always changes which can be really annoying. It is a great student accommodation!
Very Nice Set up for students
Once you pay, the staff will not respond your inquiries AT ALL!!! Lads are all round with you and play their TV/music very very loudly and you cannot even sleep, for almost every night! And definitely, if you complain this, no superise that nobody respond you AT ALL!!! Also, parcels can be only collected from 4-6pm and they are always being delayed! Never, ever choose here!!!
I loved my time living here and devasted to have to leave early due to COVID-19. The staff are friendly, helpful and so welcoming! I rented a studio flat and I absolutely loved it. It was modern, clean and well-equipped. The common rooms and gym were an added bonus. I would 100% recommend this place for any students or young professionals looking for a safe, comfortable place to stay : Thanks Victoria point for my home away from home x

Worst place I have stayed in my 3 years as a student in UoM. Ignorant staffs pretend to work hard and to be nice, inconvenient process when picking up parcels, slow maintenance team, No one cleans the corridor, thin walls loud, People party right outside ur room No staffs take care about this issue for the whole year INCLUDING IN EXAM PERIOD
