Great day out with a 5 and 7-year-old. Really fun, cheap and action packed.nnEverything you need to know - you park in the outer ring which is on grass, marshalled but pretty straight forward. We went on a caravan derby day which are usually pretty busy. Was okay getting out at the end 10 mins from car park to main road but as there's only one road out you can get stuck for a while. We left just before the masses which made the difference. Can also drive and park in the inner ring if you pay an extra tenner but best to arrive early if you want to do this as limited spaces.nnThere are 2 grandstands one with plastic fold down chairs and one with concrete block seats that have loads of seats. They are covered if its raining and they weren't full on a day with expectant thunderstorms. Go earlier to guarantee a seat but you'll probably be okay. You can also take your own fold out chairs if you like and there's loads of space on the grass banks or standing trackside. It's spacious and there's no bad viewpoints.nnThere's a bar and cafe on site and toilets for all. We took a picnic, you can buy meals if you prefer - food and drink on sale are slightly above 'normal' prices as you'd expect. Was also an ice cream van and a pitch selling chequered flags and the like for kids.nnMy advice is pre-book. You pretty much walk straight in with an e ticket and it's free for 14 and unders if you book at least 2 days before raceday. Prices then go up but at the time of writing I paid £20 for my ticket and that was it, boys were free.nnLost count of the amount of races but whole thing lasted just over 3 hours depends on clean up from crashes which was pretty efficient.nnI'd highly recommend the caravan derby race days. They finish on them and it was absolute carnage, really good fun. Crowd was good and everyone really gets into it.nnWe took ear defenders for the boys and the engine noise is fairly loud in the grandstand to be fair I noticed it afterward so was a good call if you have them for kids.nnNot too sure about disabled access. You walk off a grass car park upward to the top of the ring that looks down on the raceway. Walkway was a bit stony from memory the way we went up, but was flat grass on top. I did notice a disabled toilet and there was a ramp on the one side down to the bar and cafe at racetrack level but its steep and meant for cars so might not be ideal for solo wheelchair users you would have to check. There was also steps next to the ramp.nnAll in all, would definitely recommend whatever the weather. We will be back!
I've been going to Hednesford since I was a baby I'm mow 34 years old & never ever get bored of going! The racing is amazing! The venue is so clean & well maintained, it's an absolute gem of a raceway! And the trackside parking as to be the best out there! I'll always always be back
Excellent track, wherever you are in the stadium you can see the racing. Very large place. Plenty of food outlets which was nice. Plenty of parking but it does take you a long time to get out of the carpark after
Not been since the Mini show in the mid 90s when my dad took me.nnDecided to try the 2022 Bonfire night event and took my family.nnWe had a fantastic day, my 10 year old daughter now wants to drive bangers nnF1 stock cars, Hot Rods and Bangers, finishing with a Destruction Derby.nnThen a fantastic fireworks display.nnCan't wait to come back, and I'll bring my dad as he used to come here in the 70s.
Amazing day, amazing races. Everyone to enjoy if you enjoy banger racing, hots rod F2 and few more and main events throughout the year. Only down side parking if not there early enough got a bit of a walk to the race course
