We recorded our first EP as a band with Sam at Hebden Bridge Underground and were all buzzing with the result. Can highly reccomend Sam and Hebden Bridge Underground to artists looking for a relaxed yet professional recording option close to Manchester/Leeds where in return you receive high quality tracks. We really enjoyed working with Sam and he has a great work ethic and an experienced mind concerning mixing and mastering. We will definitely be back!
A really great little studio/rehearsal space. Back line available and just took snare and cymbals for practice with our 6 piece band. Plenty of space and a nice feeling in the room. We’re back again very soon.
Excellent rehearsal room - well equipped, spacious, great acoustics. The selection of pianos/organs is very welcome, our piano player is spoilt for choice. Hebden is lucky to have Sam and his studio!
A great studio with lots of character, right in the heart of Hebden Bridge. Space for band rehearsals, live recording or producing podcasts, as well as all the gear required to record an album, including a friendly and knowledgeable sound engineer called Sam. Sam is very easy to work with, knows when to get involved and when to take a step back and clearly has a real passion for sound recording in general - be it singer-songwriters, electronic music or mysterious homemade tape loop reverb monstrosities that only he can fathom. Will be using again soon and would definitely recommend.
I've recorded at Hebden Studios woth a couple of different bands in the last few months and each time it's been a great experience. The live room has an excellent sound and a really good feel - plenty of room to set up a full band and play live. Sam the engineer is really efficient and helpful. A great studio at rates that are real value for money. I recommend it highly.
Sam is an excellent engineer and sound designer who I have the regular pleasure of working with on live events and cinema screenings. His knowledge of acoustics and amplified sound is the best in the valley, always helpful, supportive and inquisitive into artist methods that show he understands the wide range of music that makes its way into his studio. Whilst he is a dedicated person, he is also a bag of laughs, barely a joke missed and makes tense moments between artists at ease. Ace Fantastic and Top! My band the Comet Line had a weekend recording with Sam in January 2022. We are really pleased with the results- the studio sound is great, and Sam really helped us to create a recording that was us at our best. Fun, too. Looking forward to the next session!
I've used the studios rehearsal space frequently over the past few years and love it. A great space/vibe with all the necessary equipment to hand. Recently Sam mixed some tracks for me - he has been a pleasure to work with remotely! and I'm really happy with the results. Will use again and will recommend to others!
I highly recommend Underground Studios, having recorded many times there now over the last four or five years, always with more than satisfactory results. Sam is an experienced and skilled engineer, whose knowledge and perfectionism have been invaluable. Its a comfortable environment and spacious recording area, which I'm looking forward to returning to in the near future!
This is an awesome studio and rehearsal space. The big live room sounds amazing and we love rehearsing there and tracking live demos in there, and Sam is always really helpful. Can't recommend enough.
