WE LOVE THIS PLACE!! We have just stayed for 5 days in the magical hostel. The rooms are perfect and cosy, the staff are helpful and accommodating and the surroundings are stunningly relaxing. We will return very soon !!! xx Nearby activities: The town is very close, down a steep hill but easy to get to! there was lots going on and easy access to morning dips and walks.
We hired the hostel for guests attending a joint birthday and wedding celebration in Hebden Bridge. The location and facilities were perfect for our group of 26 people. The hostel was very clean, guests all had ensuite facilities, kitchen was well stocked to cater for a large group and the dining/lounge was great for socialising. We had nice weather and were able to take advantage of the outdoor terrace. The staff are friendly and we can highly recommend this place for groups.
This is a very cosy, clean and safe Hostel in an excellent location with amazing views. The staff were full of helpful suggestions of walks and day trips. Highly recommended.
This was the first time we've stayed in a hostel and would definitely stay here again, we where greatest by friendly staff and our private room was clean and had everything we needed for our short stay, the location was excellent and only a 5 min walk into Hebden Bridge centre so perfect for our night out with friends. Great value too Rooms: 5/5
Me 40 and mum 72 stayed in a private double room with en-suite for 2 nights. Hostel welcoming, room and en-suite spotless and quiet. Secure with key. Plenty windows and nice view over trees. Kitchen great and all communal areas nice. Other guests respectful and friendly. My only feedback would be that the hostel is up quite a steep hill, it’s not far at all and there is a bus but it might be quite a lot for older/less fit ppl to walk up. Also shower was tricky to work I.e temp burning or freezing and little flow. I would stay here again though if I’m the area
I had such a lovely experience at this hostel! The rooms are nice and clean, and the beds were super comfortable. The staff is lovely and helpful. The location couldn't be better. Highly recommend! stayed in a privet double and single bed ensuite
The hostel is in an excellent location for people who wish to visit Hebden Bridge or go for walks in the countryside. It is a great facility with a good clean communal area and a good size kitchen with all the essential amenities. The rooms are very basic and almost suitable but for a couple of things. The radiator in the accessible room didn’t work so the room was a bit cold at night and the double bed was quite small. Also, if like me you’re a wheelchair user who can’t stand then the shower in the wet room is virtually unusable. When you sit on the drop down seat the taps are directly behind you so it’s impossible to operate them! We could only get hot water from the shower so if you’re on the seat with the water running you can’t lean back because the hot taps are directly behind you. During the 3 nights we stayed I only used the shower once because I had someone to help me. It obviously hasn’t been designed by a wheelchair user! Were they to move the seat to the adjacent wall it would be more usable and much safer.
We booked an exclusive hire of Hebden Bridge Hostel for a group social away-weekend and had the most wonderful time. We organised the booking with Jill and were greeted over the weekend by Caren, both of whom were really lovely and friendly and made everything go very smoothly with the booking. The hostel building has a nice and cosy atmosphere with the fireplace in the snug room, and a large open space living room which is great for chilling with large groups. The main spaces are decorated with incredible, quirky artworks that offer a unique feel, and makes the place really special. The kitchen is well equipped and has good storage space for food, so it was nice and easy to make meals for large groups, with plenty of cleaning supplies to make the clean-up easy too! We had a lot of fun with the silent disco headsets, and enjoying the grounds outside. The rooms were also really comfy and had everything that you need to get ready to explore the town for the day. There's so many brilliant restaurants to try and walks to explore in Hebden Bridge, and this hostel is really the best place to have as a base for doing it all. We would come back here again in a heartbeat - and hope it won't be too long until then!
We hired the IOU hostel for a party of 28 males on an exclusive hire basis and had a great time. We found the hostel to be very clean and had all the facilities we needed. The booking and check in process was very easy. Hebden Bridge is a great town with lots of great places to eat and drink and its a perfect base for walks, runs and cycling which our group took part in. Walkability: The hostel is less than ten minutes walk from town but is on a steep hill so may not be suitable for everyone
Clean and simple - an excellent-value place to stay. I had a good night's sleep which is never a given for me. Friendly staff and guests. It's a good feel place. Great communal kitchen for self-catering. Great location for walks.Rooms: 5/5
