Heathrow, in general has always been a terrible experience for me simply because of the lack of customer service skills Biman Airlines have but it has got better over the years. I’m not saying everyone that works for them lack customer service skills, as there are very few nice people working for them. And it is a shame that the airports ratings go down because of a specific airline. It’s well built, quite inviting, but always have some sort of work going on too. I have never had a stress free visit to Heathrow in my life.
I keep finding the post office closed every time I visit. I've made 4 attempts at different times over the past 3 weeks, and each time, I encounter the same woman who always says she's just gone to lunch. Don’t waste your time.
Friendly service, open on a Sunday and very promptly dealt with. Clean and well signposted store landside on level 1 in departures.
This Post Office does not open at 9am. I was there at 09:30 on a Saturday around mid-November 2023 and the WHSmith employee advised that the Post Office employee will open at 10am despite the official opening hours stating 9am.nnThis is extremely unreliable, especially because this Post Office is at an airport and customers are likely to use it to collect or post items before their flight. Fortunately I had time to wait and the Post Office employee was polite, thus 2 stars.
I arrived during the stated opening hours to find that the only staff member for the Post Office to be on a break for the next hour. Of course staff deserve their full breaks, and I’m grateful to the staff member for interrupting hers. However, this branch shouldn’t be listed as open all day if it’s closed for over an hour, and nor should it be accepting parcels for collection on that basis, especially in a time critical building like an airport.
