What a great find! Fabulous place and great food. It was fairly busy when we arrived but we did not wait long for our food and drinks. Would definitely recommend the chocolate cake with Guinness. The place has a real homely feel and you can choose to eat inside or outside in the lovely gardens. Will definitely return.
Visited today with my friends for a girlie catch up. Afternoon tea for three. Sandwich selection was yummy and varied. Even catered for my fussy friend that wanted plain ham. Cherry scones with jam and cream perfect followed by a delicious selection of cakes! Portions were ample, staff accommodating and tea was unlimited for a very reasonable price. All in all a very lovely place to visit.
Best scones and best bacon sandwiches in the world. Highly recommend the Mediterranean veg platter too! All ingredients are top quality, down to the olive oil used to dress the salad, and it shows in the taste. Lovely place.
We went for a bite to eat few sandwiches and coffee, it was a lovely day so we sat outside. Everything was really nice, just service was a little slow, I think there was a party there at the time which is probably why. They were very apologetic, and we didn't mind. I had the Victoria sponge cake - it was absolutely gorgeous! The best victoria sponge I've tasted
Very clean and very friendly! Unfortunately the sandwiches were nothing special, the cakes were disappointing and the scone with all the trimmings was lovely but tasted more like a Easter biscuit. My wife and I were so looking forward to our visit!!! Maybe we had our expectations too high!!
A reasonable selection of food in nice setting, garden particularly pleasant if the weather's good. One niggle though - the last couple of times I've been, the tables have been wiped down with a cloth which clearly wasn't clean and left a horrible smell, this was pretty off putting!
The service was monumentally slow. But they had just had a surge of visitors. Sunny Sunday afternoon. Coffee was lovely, and the garden is a delight. Typical country cottage in local golden stone as is the whole village. Lovely for a lazy afternoon. But beware. They close at 4pm.
This is a fabulous place to visit, the food and atmosphere is first class and great service too. Although it is table service sometimes it gets busy so don't stand on ceremony, just pop into the kitchen and place your order, you will not be disappointed. It really is a jem.
Lovely food and excellent setting. Cant fault the staff of the cleanliness and finish of the cafe. Cash only and slightly inflated prices are the only reason it loses a star.
Really lovely and quaint cottage with great coffee and food. Heath village also pretty and the tea room blends in beautifully. Fully recommend this great place
