Went to a charity fundraiser. The venue is & the entertainment was superb. Only thing that let's it down is it's not wheelchair accessible. I do understand as it would be quite expensive to put changes into place, although on the plus side, if you are not wheelchair dependent but have mobility issues, there is a ramp & chairlift leading up to the bar
Took a recent trip to Halifax for my sister in laws 50th. And the do was here. My.nephew plays here so I've been a couple times before. It's in a beautiful setting right in the bottom of the valley with the river and trees topping the hills all around. The venue facilities are excellent, clean and modern with a terrace balcony. Top place to have party.
The club has been further developed and looks amazing. The pitches are in excellent condition, I will be going to watch the matches next season.
As chairman of Narpo who had their Christmas lunch at the club, myself and Dave who is my deputy are concerned and not in agreement with comments by a Sue Gledhill who was scathing about the lunch. I know 99 per cent of attendees but I do not know this lady. She should have spoken to us on the day if not satisfied instead of leaving it for three weeks. If she can find a better meal for the reduced cost to her then I would like to know where. The club did their best and I know of no other complaints.
Christmas lunch was disgusting. Soup was just warm. Pigs in blankets hadn't seen the oven. Roast potatoes had no colour. Fruit crumble not very festive. If it is there next year we will not be going.
